The only reason I mention that is that SIP only attend hearings in certain parts of the countryLuffy135 said:
unfortunately not lolChirpyChicken said:Got any relatives that live in far flung places of the UK?
So as long as you use your own name you log an appeal against a windscreen ticket using a friend's or relatives address far away from Manchester where SIP wont attend.
It only works for a very small number of firms
But it has to be an address where you can be easily contacted at
They wont attend single ticket hearings in the London courts for example3 -
I have a close friend living in central London, though I've already given them my address in the first appeal email I sent as per the noobies blue appeal templateChirpyChicken said:

And out of curiosity, why would they not be able to have it in Manchester? Is there a rule that states the court location needs to be close to the person making the appeal?0 -
If you can still use her address try it on the online appeal. The SIP site is rubbish. There is a tick box for entering driver details be sure to do that and do it ASAP
In the county court as the defendant is an individual then as per civil procedure rules. It gets allocated to the defendants home court.

Should the case go to court the defendant after submitting their defence will receive a Directions Questionnaire which will ask which local court they wish the case to be heard. The claimants legal rep will be expected to travel.2

SIP tend to issue claims within a certain radius. Until Devere signed up to DCBL rececently this was also true of them.Not_A_Hope said:Should the case go to court the defendant after submitting their defence will receive a Directions Questionnaire which will ask which local court they wish the case to be heard. Again only applies to a tiny number of firms . It is very "niche"
What is the date of the PCN btw2 -

Thanks, is it highly unlikely they will attend a court in London? I don't really want to make that commute either if they would attend! Do I even have a valid "defence"?
1) What do i put in the "reason for your appeal" is it the same blue template in the noobies thread (even though they already answered me in the email I sent)?
2) I assume I put down Registered Keeper as well

"Again only applies to a tiny number of firms . It is very "niche"- what do you mean by this sorry, as in SIP are one of those tiny number of firms that only issue claims within a certain radius?ChirpyChicken said:

PCN was on the 23/09/20250 -
"We will support your complaint to the landowner, as they have no issues with the way we operate the car park."
An observation - is there a "not" missing in the above?1 -
As it was the 23rd then there is a good chance they have already applied for keeper details from the DVLA
What I mean is most firms use legal firms . SIP is one of the few that dont.
And correct they wouldn't attend a London case.2 -
If they made a claim you could always change the address for service back to your own to save you the trip. Thanks, is it highly unlikely they will attend a court in London? I don't really want to make that commute either if they would attend! Do I even have a valid "defence"?Always remember to abide by Space Corps Directive 39436175880932/B:
