Thanks for the offer HB but I already spend far too much time doing puzzles and procrastinating.
Today, apart from dailies, no flying has been done. I blame Fayolle with her mention of some time in the craft room. In between the visit to DS and giving Poppet a second walk, I have been making cards.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Afternoon all. Not enough washing for a load today because I got lots dry over the previous two days. Was supposed to rain today but not so far. Usual meals, clearing up etc done and I dusted and vacuumed the bedrooms. We had a walk this morning but it was quite cool with a sneaky little wind.Hope everyone's OK. Happy Belated Birthday Valli x5

To the detriment of any flying. DH has, however, finally put up the new blind in the downstairs toilet. Today’s challenge has been met through delegation!I have cake ingredients weighed out and ready to go as I have promised cake when we visit friends next week. While I was at it, dinner has been prepped - easy tray bake and every vegetable I could lay my hands on. Oh, and an apple crumble. Feeling quite domesticated.6 -
Belated birthday wishes Valli.
I'm still lurking but not really much to say - still zumbaing, swimming, voluntary work, gardening, doing the odd bit of flying etc.
The September challenge isn't going to be finished in Sept I fear, but my desk is now clear and the 5-tier in tray replaced by just a single letter rack for items I have to deal with. I've gradually brought more of Mum's photo albums up to put on shelves in my 'new room'. I've started looking at alternative desks as the current one is very wide with drawers down one side and hanging files down the other; I could easily manage with a narrower one and would prefer cupboards or shelves in place of the hanging file drawers. Oh well plod on.
I've been planning and organising what needs to be done for the flower arrangements I and 3 others are doing for the wedding of the vicar's daughter next week. Today after I'd hoovered the church, I laid out all the baskets and trays in the vestry; I have lots of 'bricks' and one circle of oasis ready to soak and have listed people's tasks so fingers crossed it will go well. Immediately after the wedding Mr N and I are setting off to see my Mum. Sadly SIL's Mum passed last week so we had an unscheduled afternoon visit with DB and SIL this week when they came up to sort out possessions; it was lovely to have a bit of time with them and SIL seems to be coping well.
I knew it was autumn this morning as 7 fairies appeared on my bird feeder, they only come Sept - March (long tailed tits for those who don't know my passion!). The lake was just over 14degrees this morning but beautiful.
Mr N and I just realised that the date for all the flocking wading birds in Norfolk was 10/11 Oct so we've booked a few nights in a cheap caravan park to see them.
Need to go downstairs now and check my forgotten cookies - thanks for whoever posted that recently; I did them a couple of weeks ago in small cake cases as petit-fours so am doing them again (in conjunction with making cheese souffle for dinner to use up some egg whites). I notice the recipe says you can't freeze them, but has anyone tried? It would save me pigging out............Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
Morning all
Our planned trip to Brands Hatch has been cancelled due to illness. We've learned a relative on OH's has had pregnancy complications and been hospitalised - wishing her well
Today I'll be doing yesterday's leftovers, especially Chair 2....

Hello,
Yet again I've been absent. I've spent alot of time trying to sort out my medication with the receptionist/manager at the Gp's which hasn't gone well. This has obviously been very stressful which hasn't helped my health but they don't seem to care about that.
Anyway, this mornings jobs which I started after I heard the next door neighbours banging about,
I've finally cleaned and reorganised the medical cupboard.
I've put away the washing.
Put away the recipe books I'm definitely keeping but found some more (mostly impulse buys) which I need to go through.
I've emptied the recycling and food waste bin. That's gone in the DW which is now on.
I've bagged up some broken appliances. I need to contact someone about about clearing some stuff for me but need I need to know the cost will fit in my budget.
I've sorted this week's meal plan.
I've made a coffee and now the kettle is being descaled. I shall go through these extra recipe books and check through my food shop list while drinking it.

Good afternoon everyone
Thank you kaz and HB. The unhappy person has left the department so we are all hoping for a more settled time at work now. I don't socialise with colleagues outside work as a general rule. I tell them I'm only paid to be nice til 4.30pm. To be fair I work with a lot of lovely people. There's only an occasional anomaly.
Joey hasn't been well again this morning so I've had a read a book morning. I have made my bed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, and completed Connections with three lives lost.
It was very wet and murky this morning so I didn't set WM swishing the towels etc.Its faired up now but the washing can wait until tomorrow.
Order repeat prescription is next on my to list.
