Morning all
It's been quite a week. A few tricky things at the paid stuff and yesterday I went to a conference which involved a 1.5 hour train journey with a change half way, then actually finding the venue, mixing with the other delegates and repeating the journey home. One slight panic when I couldn't find the right entrance to the conference centre but otherwise it was fine. I wouldn't have managed that a year ago when my anxiety was really bad.
I have managed a little Flying every day so the house is presentable. Short volunteering session this morning then I am hoping DH will fancy a walk somewhere.
Have a good Saturday all x7 -
Morning all xx
Jazee - there'd be no fun in that! I completed Wordle in four - then, like you, Googled the meaning. Hmmmm. Not convinced, but it keeps my mind active and distracted, so I'll carry on. Completed Strands with no hints and Connections with no lives lost.
I'm up, made my bed, and I'm supping my first brew. I wrote my Saturdailies list during a quiet spell at work yesterday afternoon, so I'm primed and ready. Brew 2 first though.
Happy Birthday for yesterday Valli 🥂🍾 xx
I hope all the poorlies are on the mend. After my anxiety ridden week off work I walked straight into a mess of office politics. Asked for clarification and brought a whole load of unpleasantness down on my head. O. K. So now we're all clear. And one of us is very unhappy with me. But everyone else is saying it needed doing. 🙄. Not by me it didn't!! Lesson learned. I am no good at office politics/ smoke and mirrors / underhandedness. Cue sleepless nights, overthinking, and bad dreams. It'll pass, but it's not pleasant.
Going to get stuck into my Saturdailies... but where's that second brew? Is kettle on anywhere?
Love to all.
Rxx

Second cuppa slurped and chocolate muffin for breakfast. It needed using up!
Connections with one life lost, strands with no hints.
Poppet has had a 30 minute walk. I will potter until DH gets back from work then we're off to visit DS and his family for a couple of hours.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all,
Happy birthday for yesterday, Valli x
It’s very chilly and grey here, so is less than motivating. The house is pretty much up together, apart from the jobs that I keep putting off. Thanks to the September challenge (thank you YL and Round for inspiring that one), I have ticked some of those jobs off the very long list. The wm is on and that may be the extent of the flying for today. I am feeling decidedly bleurgh and tired after a dream ridden night. DH has gone to Mr S to fill the car up with petrol. Now he is bombarding me with pictures from inside the supermarket of Stuff we might need. That man cannot resist a sm, I knew he wouldn’t be able to stop himself from going inside. My answer is No, we don’t need that, but bet he comes home with something.6 -
Sending unbleurgh vibes to Fayolle xx And to anyone else who feels the need. All colours available 😊
I'm breakfasted, showered, dressed, and WM is swishing the first load. I've emptied the bins, put out the rubbish and recycling, put fresh bin bags in situ and fed the birds.
I've also refilled the tea and sugar caddies which wasn't on the list but needed doing.
Coffee anyone?

I'll join you for coffee in 10 minutes, round - must shower and dress properly first! x
Well done YL - hope you get your walk later x
Well done on the September challenge, Fayolle x. I've done several things off my list too, although I haven't yet got round to tidying the garden, and the man who's coming to give me a price for decorating isn't coming until 5th Oct.
DH has opted not to go to DGD1's party this afternoon because DGD2 is full of germs - we're not the only ones to pull out, but some of their cousins on DDiL's side will still be going, so all is not lost. I'm going round a bit earlier, when DGD2 will (still) be tidying her bedroom and therefore can keep out of the way, because I want to give DGD her present and take DDiL's card for safe keeping until her birthday next Sunday.
I am partway through making the harvest sheaf: the dough is rising beautifully, so I must have done something right! Need to take lessons from Fayolle...
Have a good weekend, all xxx6 -

Sorry about the office politics Round. Horrible, isn't it.Belated happy birthday vibes Valli.Strands no hints, Connections no lives lost, and didn't get the final letter on Wordle. I know the word and use it often but it just didn't occur to me.Jazee, I still have access to Letter Boxed. Would you like the letters posted if I remember? I've never been able to do it but I know you like it.I've done my 'That needs doing' by refilling all my bird seed bags. I feed a couple of pairs of blackbirds and a robin on my dog walk every morning and the stuff they eat is yucky to put in pockets so the little bags need redoing every couple of weeks. All done, went to put all the bird food away and Wren had decided the food smelled delicious so she knocked the box over, the food went everywhere and that needed clearing up. I don't shout at her often, so she knows she did something wrong but still wanted to be allowed to eat the spillage. Not happening babe. This September Challenge is really working for me. So well, in fact, that I feel virtuous every day, don't worry about things that I don't do and the house looks better.Kitchen tidied, all the detritus put back on the shelves except for the dishwasher tablets that just need a little bit of an airing after some seepage. They'll be fine later.Better is good enough.6
