Hi all
I am working to my own list this week as I need to gently catch up after a week of being ill. Full day at the paid stuff but it's been quiet. Home in good time so I dusted and hoovered the LR and put clean washing away while DH cooked tea.Round sending anxiety busting vibes your way xx I felt wobbly at lunchtime so wrote down all my worries and worked through them, then got myself out into the sunshine for a walk.
On Friday I have to go to a conference so have booked the train. As you know I don't like driving but the train will actually be cheaper and quicker. Feel like I am giving in to my fears though. Overthinking? Me? Surely not.8 -
I'm pleased to hear that everyone is gradually regaining their equilibrium.
I've had a busy but productive and mostly very enjoyable day, though not a lot was ticked off the official Flying list:
- wiped condensation off upstairs windows
- opened some windows up-and downstairs all morning
- S&S'd the kitchen, wiping small appliances and replacing the old sponge scourer with the last one in the box
- took delivery of some new "sponge" scourers which are completely plant-based (I hope they work as well as the manufacturers claim)
- asked DH to empty the recycling bins from under the sink into the bags in the shed, which he did without complaining
- FUPA DH's clean clothes that were airing in the utility
- did 4 more loads of washing and hung it all out to dry; brought it all in when it began to get dark and finished it off in the TD; then FUPA or hung the rest to air in the bathroom
- packaged up just over half the seeds that I've been saving from the garden for the Festive Fayre (its name was changed at this evening's meeting) - will finish this job tomorrow
- took an old friend out to a GC, where I bought winter bedding and spring bulbs for the pots on our decking and she bought other plants and some potting compost, before we sat out in their sunny courtyard, drank coffee and chatted very happily for about an hour
- after tea I went to a church council meeting, which for once dealt quickly with all the business and actually finished about 10 minutes earlier than scheduled, but just as the meeting drew to its close an elderly council member was taken ill and we had to get an ambulance for him. I stood out on the street for (only) about 15 minutes to watch for the ambulance, but got very cold even in that short time, so once I had waved the ambulance into the car park and guided the paramedics in through the churchyard, I came home and made hot drinks for myself and DH.
Off to bed now. See you all tomorrow xxx7 -
Morning all. Wordle in four.
I am up early as we have someone coming this morning to test electrical stuff and I want to walk Poppet first. Still unwell but didn't cough too much in the night so I must be getting better. No voice back yet though so DH is getting some peace.
Will pace myself today but hope to achieve some flying above the basics as after a month of overtime and a week of illness both garden and house are looking shabby.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
Morning all xx
Get well vibes continue to wing their way across the ether. 😘
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, completed Connections with no lives lost, changed Joey's seed and water, and I'm supping a brew.
DS and DDil are safely ensconced in their hotel. Joey is well. I'm back at work today. Fingers crossed the routine will settle my nerves.
I'm out for a belated birthday tea with an ex-colleague after work.
Have a good day.

Front steps finished, which is a huge relief. I didn't do them last year and they were as bad as I've ever seen them so it's a relief that they're all sparkly now.Today's 'Ooooh that needs attention' was done and dusted (literally) first thing. It was one of those areas that never gets seen, and as a result never gets any attention. So it did this morning.Better is good enough.4

Evening all, I can't believe how busy you have all been. It must be that strange yellow thing in the sky that is making everyone more productive 🙂
I'm slowly getting myself back to normal, sorting out my hormones but that is trial and error.
Had a follow up call from my gynae, after my op a few months ago.(long time to wait for follow up calls but hey ho!!) Got to see him again now...found out I only had a partial hysterectomy (didn't know you could get this type...) so who knows when I go and see him again I may actually get everything removed this time and not just some bits. But that would explain a few things that had me worried. Why they didn't take everything out I have no idea..maybe it's a new thing who knows?
Slowly getting back into routines again, and cooking again. Really want to get everything unpacked, all the boxes from the move 2 years ago, and either binned or put away.
Cleaned the kitchen floor today, gutted the downstairs toilet and hoovered the living room.
Tomorrow I have the house to myself so want to take everything off the shelves, off of cupboard shelves, in the living room and dust thoroughly. I think I'm starting my own dust farm in the glass units...lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️
