Operation 'Dining Room' should commence today. The furniture shop called yesterday to tell me my table, chairs and cabinet have arrived (much quicker than expected) so they'll hold those for me.
I did clean behind the last cabinet on Sunday and mouse evidence was evident - I don't have mice - these are gifts (misses the rolling eyes smily) and all the bits have been moved into the the office now. Perfect excuse to declutter, so I have.
The door men should be here innocently as I ordered black handles, hinges etc and some didn't come, so these need putting on.

Good to hear there is movement on your health Natty.Today's 'I must do that' was something I saw first thing (too embarrassed to admit what it was) and did after I'd dropped Belovéd off where he needs to be this morning.First load in the WM, Wren trundled and all the dailies done. Now settling down to a bit of work so that when Belovéd rings I can go and get him and we can have our day out. He still doesn't know where we're going and what we're doing!Better is good enough.4

            Morning all,
Nice to see you, Natty.
Have a lovely day out, HB.
I could have sworn that I posted yesterday but it seems not. I have had to wrack my little brain to remember what I did.
Flying occurred - bedding changed, washed and lie dried, allotmenting happened - weeding and tidying in the chilly sunshine, upstairs given a flick of the duster and a whizz of the vacuum cleaner. I even managed HHA x a couple in the afternoon. My annoying job was - embarrassed look here - to get rid of the spilt coffee stains from DD’s bedroom floor. She has the only carpeted bedroom (her choice which the older her now regrets!), and I am not sure how long those marks have been around her desk. Finally dealt with them yesterday so thank you for the shove in the right direction.
Today I am meeting DSis for a pub lunch, halfway between us. The wm is about to finish, there is HHI to get cleared, not sure what else is on my plan. Ah yes, clean the bathroom from yesterday’s list.5 -
Morning, well done on doing that thing that needed doing HB🙂 Where does the washing come from I want to know as I seem to be washing endlessly 🤔
Valli good luck with Operation dining room 🙂
Enjoy lunch with your DSis Fayolle 😀
Flying wise I've just done HHI as I noticed DH was down to one pair of undies. So I climbed into the under stairs cupboard and grabbed a pile of cleaning washing. Cleared that especially as my iron is now working after a self clean yesterday 🙂 Thank god's I didn't buy a new one when I thought this one was dead...lol
Made the bed this morning, am making sure it looks nice every morning when I make it.
Dinner for tonight is now defrosting.
Located some more coat hangers, in DH's wardrobe..I'm sure he squirrels them away🤔
Am just about to make an apple pie for pudding, as I have an abundance of stewed apple, using the apples up 😀
Dusting afterwards then the day is mine xMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

and operation dining room is suspended until Monday. Flooring people have called so decorator has been informed it's now time-critical.
Getting my new car on Sunday. No CD player *SOB* so I am currently building a playlist on my phone.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily Dickinson

Ensuite and downstairs toilet cleaned, HHI cleared. Lunch out enjoyed (fish goujon sandwich and chips for anyone interested!). Tomatoes have been sieved using an Italian tomato sieve given to us by an aged aunt years (maybe 30+) ago. It has moved house with us, been packed away, been threatened with going out, rescued by DH and finally put into use today in an attempt to bottle passata. We will see if it has earned its keep.I must descale the iron - thank you Natty for that reminder.7

I've been up and busy for an hour and I still haven't seen anything that made me think 'I must do that.' I'm delighted not to have my mind filled up with junk procrastinations that clutter thinking up.Going to allow a session with Strands, Connections, Wordle and a Daily Suduko before I have my shower and go to the Foodbank for my session. There are two weeks worth of work to be done there so it'll be a long one today. I might not get around to any Flying later. We had a lovely day yesterday. The weather was absolutely beautiful, the sky as blue as a Simpson's sky, no clouds as we drove along Slapton Ley, walked Wren for about 3 minutes on the beach but she's still terrified of the sound of waves, and then drove through the South Hams including a tidal road to Bigbury on Sea, before walking across to Burgh Island for lunch (fish and chips) at The Pilchard Inn, sitting outside in the sun, looking at the Burgh Island Hotel and the sea tractor. Belovéd had a very minor surgery yesterday which included, according to the surgeon, some very Anglo Saxon language, who then proceeded to google him and come back to chat with him about panto. All in all, a rather successful day.Better is good enough.6

Morning all! I’m still here - just a bit overwhelmed with all the baking that’s going on here. I have finished all the little fruit cakes for the Fayre (how I hate that spelling,) and they are stored in the utility fridge, awaiting icing. Yesterday I made four jars of cloudy blackberry and apple jelly: no pretensions to match up to Valli’s in terms of clarity because I haven’t got a jelly bag (!) but it has set well and tastes of autumn, and I have already got a customer for a pre-Fayre sale. I need to move some ingredients around so that I can free up a big shelf in the oven housing unit to store my jams, but all the jars need labelling first, and before that I need to sit down and design/print the labels. One job always leads to another.
We had another community events planning meeting at church yesterday evening. Our vicar appears to have finally realised how bad he is at publicising events, and we now have more leverage to do it ourselves. Guess who has to make a poster for the Knit & Natter?
It’s another beautiful sunny day, so DH and I are taking Rosie out for lunch to the NT property where I used to volunteer, where she and I can enjoy a walk in the woods. DH says he plans to do a short walk too, along the level path across the field which is the last 200-yard section of mine and Rosie’s circuit - but hey! it’s 200 yards more than he ever does on a stay-at-home day 🙃
Flying? Not much TBH, apart from WULTD, using up/giving away part of my plentiful stock of ingredients (trying to reduce the contents of my kitchen cupboards), and getting a few steps further on with decluttering bits of gardening and admin. Did I tell you that I have received a very early birthday present from DS1? - a flamethrower for dealing with the weeds between the paving blocks. It’s been named Idris, as in Ivor the Engine. Half-Welsh, train-mad DH approves.
I must go and bake a cake for the MacMillan coffee morning tomorrow. Will catch up later. Hope you all have a good day xxx
