Been to the sale in Readign today... I can now understand its allure: the gift sets are LOVELY, all of them, and with 75% its a real bargain!! I got to the store at 10.30 and most of the toys (boots, elc) for young children had gone. Some gifts I had wanted were nowhere to be seen... Does anyone know if they will usually restock?

Are you stocking for next xmas?? Won't the creams and stuff be ruined by then? Or can I safely stock on creams and bath items?

Called into Bracknell with a friend but unless you wanted Ted Baker in Tune sets (which I got several of from the online sale) there was really nothing there. That's what comes of having a small Boots store.

Never mind...on the bright side I have saved money by not buying anything else.

Hi again to any B-O-T MSEr's and to the hot uk dealer who were with me waiting for the store to open. It didn't open till 9 as staff trainning was in process. strange trainning is that learning how to bag all the bargains before the customers lol No not going to moan about this store today well much as thet still wouldn't let me have the highlighter with a gift set or reduced item. ~I still have vouchers to swap one for if anyone wants.

There was so much stock it was un-real and it wasn't really busy still had lots at 11am bet most will be gone by the end of the day

I bought 2 no.7 gifts sets should i have got another one for 3 4 2 or wasn't that on gift sets.

there was loads yesterday when went in (just to check) not much at 9.05 shelves were empty where there was stuff yesterday. Not too busy left at 10 ish about £40 lighter
Got what I needed and treated myself too!!

If you buy the No7 make up compact (original price £16 - down to £4 in 75% sale) there is a 300 points when you buy any No7 item voucher in there :) Also, with the set of No7 lip glosses (same price as compact) you get a 200/250 - can't quite remember! voucher when you buy any No7 item.

    hth someone
thanks for that, i was going to give mine as a present in june, but i can hardly do that now with the voucher being out of date by then (woulden't want my friend thinking i'd bought her gift in a sale  ), ah well, i'll have to keep it for myself :T

Gutted.... nothing I wanted in the sale! Not much left at the Kensington High Street Branch (shoved in corner upstairs), although I did circle the entire shop twice just to be sure. Left with only a wine rack with 1 bottle wine (£3.75) which I paid with points.

    "Free" wine will console me!

Bought so many things recently that I don't need stuff, and I don't know what to do with my points.... been trying to spend them all for ages now, but it just isn't as easy as it seems!

Saw some lovely no7 makeup xmas gifts yesterday....but decided to go to Derby Westfields this morning as it had toys and botanics sets!!! But no No7 makeup :( only lip gloss things and the pack with the massager in...but no one wanted those as there were loads left !!!!

Only had 2 1/2 hours as dd2 is at playgroup in the morning so had to rush back for that. Just about to collect dd1 from school now.

Is it worth a journey to BOT store kitiaracat???? (I literally live half way between burton + Derby)

I went to Richmond & Kew this morning too
Got quite a few things in Richmond, spent £62 but used vouchers i had.
I thought the sales staff were great in Richmond, so helpful which is really nice to see. Then i went onto Kew & bought a few other bits plus a few elc toys. The bloke in kew told us the elc toys weren't reduced but the woman in kew said all the elc toys with the green present logo on them were. Lucky we didn't listen to the man cos we got 3 elc toys from kew.
Richmonds staff were much nicer than Kews staff.
In my madness for bargains we were nearly late picking our son up from nursery :o

Why is it when your running late every traffic lights turns red just as you get to it. Roads get blocked by binmen, a woman driving at a snails pace cos she was talking on the phone whilst driving & 2 police horses riding side by side so we couldn't get passed.

Other than that i'm well chuffed with my bargains today, my first ever time going to a boots 75% off sale :T

My first time at a Boots 75% off sale too! No way I would have known about it either without reading this thread, thanks so much!
Richmond staff were lovely. The manager, I think, also went down to look in the stockroom for me as I wanted this big bowl and spoon with rice/chilli flakes in it that I had seen yesterday but wasn't on the shelves this morning - it really is lovely and a bargain, from £15 to £3.50! I am so happy with all my purchases too!! :j
    Ebay: £34.68
  • had a great time at my local boots today. i spent about £70 and not only got lots of bargains but ended up with loads of free TD wipes. all the sa were really helpful as well. i really wanted the roll up keyboards being the sad workaholic (and heavy typer) that i am but ended up with the last santuary and dove sets as well as some other lovely things. the distraction was my mum who kept phoning me asking me to buy her more stuff!

the only thing i was disappointed about was no totes isotoner gloves but i was being a bit too hopeful as i got a pair in the 50% sale and i am sure anyone with sense bought them then!

this was definately worth a day's annual leave! roll on 15 jan 2009!:A
