Afternoon all,
Good news on the car and the Plan B, Round. I hope that Jazee and other poorlies start to feel better very soon.
Last night’s pick up of NDN went ok - I found it, got there and back ok, no night time reversing on the single track road. I am glad to not have that to worry about any more.
This morning has been all about the allotment. Apples have been picked, as has some sage and some chicory to accompany tonight’s dinner. One fellow allotmenteer brought some cake, which gave a very good reason to stop and talk.
This afternoon may involve meal planning and HHI, although I am less enthusiastic about the latter. Today’s Challenge still has to be decided upon.6 -
Blowing a hoolie here, very high tide, so I stayed on the coastal path much safer than getting cut off by the high tide which is being driven by the wind.Need to do about another 3k steps, as I ran out of breathe trying to walk into the wind.Going to make some soup and have a general sort of stuff.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Many thanks to the Flylday who sent a lovely card. Much appreciated. Belovéd is dealing with a lump of roast beast at the moment, so I will ensure he sees it later. Much love to the entire household - Wren sends licks and *sniffs*.Today's 'That needs doing' is dusting the pictures on the stairs. I doubt I'll have time so it'll have to be done tomorrow, when I put the bird feeders back together and have another go at the green areas that are left on the front steps, so I'll be playing catch up all day, and there will be a new job to do tomorrow as well. I refuse to write a list and fail to complete it.A load of washing is blowing in the breeze, we've both prepped and started cooking all the bits and pieces that will make up today's lunch without getting snitty with each other while working together in the kitchen, which is smallish and a relief. It's our anniversary of the Not A Thing last year, and as I forgot our usual anniversary (of the day we met) and didn't give Belovéd a card it was agreed I'd give him one for this anniversary. I found the perfect card weeks ago but it involves a day out and today he wanted to do this lunch, so he agreed this morning he would rather wait until Wednesday when I've planned the trip to fit around his diary. It's a beautifully painted pleated books of touristy places like Bantham and Hope Cove that we have never been to, despite having lived so close to them for decades, but he doesn't know that. Had we not been committed to seeing Inter Alia on Sunday 7 September it would also have included a guided tour of lighthouse, but that couldn't be re-arranged, sadly. And we can take Wren, and have breakfast and lunch out. We never normally go anywhere so it'll be a real treat.House looks fairly presentable but there are still a lot of things that Should Be Done. *sigh*Better is good enough.5

Hi all
Following Joeys example I have spent most of the last 2 days asleep. Thankfully I am finally starting to feel better. All of this has triggered off my anxiety a bit but I am hoping that taking it steady for a few days gets rid of it once and for all.
We have been to a local NT place for a wander, I was desperate to get out of the house, and I have tackled the kitchen. Safe to say that no Flying has happened here, it seems that either I do it or it doesn't get done.
So, some clean laundry to put away and then I will sit with my book for a bit. There is a little ironing to do but I am aware that I need to be sensible and not overdo it.5 -
Lots of washing line dried today, and a Sunday dinner cooked. I turned off the main oven though, when I should have turned off the little top one but spotted It quickly enough - I ALWAYS write a plan for Sunday dinner. Was lovely with the kids and their partners here. Roast beef, all trimmings including f!@£!@£ Yorkshires (lol) followed by HM bread and butter pudding. DS and DiL have been to look at houses - new build then they can benefit from their save to buy ISA (or whatever it's called) but my word - 35 year mortgages! Shocking.
I've also removed the last two glass shelves from the units and pulled out the lighting so they can go into the wood skip at the tip.
Ebay listings relaunched and a new precious item added.
DS was sent home with his scrapbooks - told him he can keep them or fling them but it's his decision. Glasses wrapped for safe delivery to CS and already in the car.
