Morning all xx
I was briefly MIA as Joey wasn't well and I went to pieces. Now I remember why I didn't rush to get another budgie when Sweetie died. I don't cope well with the stress when they're ill. Thank you Fayolle for all your support. 😘. You helped to keep me sane (ish). Joey is still not well as he's going through a heavy moult, but he did finally eat a little last night.
It's been a loooong time since my anxiety did that to me. I'd forgotten how debilitating it can be. Probably not helped by already being discombobulated and out of routine.
So. Yesterday was.It must have been as it is now today. And my house mirrors my mental state - chaotic on top, lots of progress made, and pockets of doom scattered here and there.
I still have the wading through treacle feeling. Not helped by having an optician's appointment for my annual eye test this afternoon. Shudder.
Anyhoo. My bed is made. That's a start.

I'm showered and dressed. I've fed the birds and put out the recycling. I've FUPA the dry washing and the airer.
I completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in five, completed Connections with one life lost, or was it two lives lost? 🤔 I forget.
Optician's appointment is at 1.10 pm. Maybe I'll feel better when that's over. 🤞
What are you all doing? Anything citing?

Been walking tide out, but the wind was so strong, I was sort of bent double at one time, I had a choice to turn back or carry on, either was would still have ment walking into the wind to get home, carrying on won.Small food shop done and away.New smaller cheap t shirts have arrived, with 'Andrew' who wanted my photoI think staying in for now wins, until the wind drops I want to clean out / power wash the small solar water fountain and put it away for the winter, but another few days won't hurt.Might go and check on hats / gloves / scarves for the winter, they are all stored in a small chest of draws in a cupboard.Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

Nothing citing here, Round. Harvesting giant beetroot, does that count?I meant to report in yesterday, but the day got away with me. I did spend most of the afternoon in the sewing room (aka spare room), so that might have something to do with it. I think very little flying was involved, although I did wash the towels, dry them in the free electricity hour, and cook a veggie lasagne in the sc. My September Challenges achieved yesterday (plural, please note 🤣😇) were to finally pack up all the bedding that came back with DD from uni (needed me to buy a vacuum bag - done, shrunk, and stored under her bed) and to run a clean cycle for the wm. I might have to claim one of those for today.
I changed the bedding, ran the wm and the washing is now swirling around in the wind outside. The rest of the morning was spent pottering at the allotment, picking apples, weeding, and those giant beetroot. Mr M delivery booked for tomorrow lunchtime. I need to sort out the harvestings, then DH wants to go and pick sloes. Unfortunately I am the one who knows where they grow so I have to go too.4 -
Afternoon all.Oh Round, I hope Joey gets better quickly. Poor little thing.Got two loads of washing dry outside today. It's such a relief to be able to just hang it out once and it dries and I can put it away. Hate having to mess about with it on the airer where it just sulks.Shopping was due between 8 and 10 and turned up at 7.35 so that was sorted nice and early
I was up at 4.45 so it wasn't a problem....
Not much actual cleaning done, just the normal cleaning round in the kitchen after mealtimes. We're having a day out tomorrow to use a voucher DH had for Christmas. Going on a steam train. I'm a bit worried he'll find it too tiring, I don't drive, but he's determined to go so we've booked the tickets. Supposed to be light rain but it only runs on limited days and the voucher runs out in October so we're just going to get on with it.Oh and I mended the gate. A screw kept coming out of the latch. I finally got fed up of pushing it back in and found a new rawlplug, hammered it into the hole, and rescrewed it. Hopefully that will last. Also WD40d the bolt which was getting very stiff. DH has been moaning about it for about a month but that didn't progress into action. Let's see if he noticesHope everyone's OK x6 -
Wordle in three, Strands with no hints and absolutely nothing on Connections.Today's 'I must do that' is cleaning out the bird feeders, a job I really hate, so it's no surprise to me I'm procrastinating. At least the dog got a lengthy walk today (well over a mile), I went to a small town to pick up something I ordered that had come in, and had a lovely chat with my old dentist who I happened to bump into. He retired 13 years ago and he's such a lovely man he rememered me.Taking a break now and I'll deal with the bird feeders later.Better is good enough.5

I am feeling very unwell. Not entirely sure how I got through the paid stuff today, a week in and the cold is not improving at all. I am feeling very sorry for myself.
Flying has been put on hold, I may take to my bed.5 -
Sounds like more than a cold to me YL. I'm sure you've already thought of Covid or it may be "just" ordinary flu. Hope you start to feel better soon x5
