Car passed MoT - just needed a new stop bulb! Go to go back for the water pump though.
Managed to squeeze rest of washing on line.

I opted for ticking off a Challenge rather than HH admin. No surprise there then, although I did sort a couple of admin type bits on the way so maybe I can claim both jobs as done.
My old lemon thyme has been repotted into a pot that can be left outside all winter. That was a job on the list since last winter. The plant put up a struggle and I nearly gave up once I realised how hot it was, but the job is done now. Whether or not the plant survives remains to be seen. I have also just printed off the instructions for 2 sewing patterns. Again, another job off the list. I have added 3 more jobs to the list, so it is showing no sign of being defeated.6 -
*healing vibes* to everyone who's feeling under the weather, particularly Jazee and YL. Pleased to hear Joey's feeling more perky.Front steps have had Stages 2 and 3 of the regime needed to clean them and they're looking quite a bit better already. That's enough for today. We've got a dryish day today so two loads were out on the line but it started to drizzle so I brought them in. Sod's law, now that the sundeck is soaked it's dried up. The washing is staying in the kitchen. We've got a couple of days of rain over the weekend and then it's looking dry for the early part of next week, which suits for the next stages of Operation Clean Front Steps.Went shopping with Belovéd to buy the things we need for Sunday lunch with the friends and neighbours we've invited. Only need a couple more things from the Co-op on the corner and we're good to go.Better is good enough.7

Afternoon all. Got three washloads done and dried outside today, so much easier. Went to the nearby small town for a walk round and a coffee (ignoring the cookies that were on offer). Back home and cut the grass which had really grown this time. Then I spent the afternoon in the back garden reading. Got to make the most of that this time of year.Hope everyone's OK x6

Glad Joey is feeling better, or should I say more chirpy (groan)"I started out with nothing
And still got most of it left"

Morning all xx
Well. That was a weird week. 🙃
Anyhoo. It's Saturday again. I'll list my Saturdailies and start crossing them off. So far I've made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, didn't manage even one line on Connections, changed Joey's seed and water, and supped my first brew.
Penultimate day of the Athletics- so I'll schedule that into my day. And Strictly starts tonight. That's my Saturday nights sorted til Christmas.
Right. Brew 2 and list.
Take care.

I'm showered and dressed. WM is swishing. Saturdailies list is written and what's been done has been crossed off.
Coffee now. Join me?

Morning all
Happy Saturday
Pots WUALTD (stuff that can't go in DW) and bottom DW deck emptied and stuff on top deck shuffled and rotated to drain/dry.
Done a wash load but the weather forecast is not conducive so I'll get out and fold, ready for better days.
Been to butchers for meat for tomorrow's roast and visited the kitten. Blood washed off hands. Kitten treated to Dreamies. Kitten loved dreamies. Vet booked for chip and jabs.

Glad to hear the kitten is behaving completely normally. Sorry about the wounds.Belovéd has vacuumed top to bottom and we both rehomed a collection of stuff that had been gathering outside the old coal hole, all of which has now been stashed.More boiling water poured on the front steps in the areas that are still showing signs of green. It's all looking a lot better but the weather is dreadful at the moment so Phase 4 will have to wait until early next week to complete the job.Sundeck and greenhouse shuffle planned so that my seedlings will have a better chance of growing. The ones that have germinated are very leggy because of the position of the thing.Plans laid for tomorrow's lunch, and listies written so it all goes smoothly. The Listie includes the instruction 'Don't forget the f****** Yorkshires' as we're both tired of buying them, keeping them in the fridge/freezer as appropriate or even remembering to shove them in the oven at the right time and then completely forgetting them until hours later.Thank you note written for neighbour for excellent Iranian meal last night. Wonderful stuff.Better is good enough.5
