However, this arrived yesterday. It only took, 12 months, 18 SARs, multiple complaints, 40+ hours of calls…As far as I’m concerned the letter is insufficient, no full retraction (of all allegations), no apology…Typical DWP, I tried calling the number at the top of the letter and it’s unobtainable - call fails every time - good old dependable DWP!DWP - Not fit for purpose!
They need to updste their template - the pro forma obviously isn’t used often!1 -

From whom do you expect to get the lapsed appeal letter? It won't be from the DWP and the letter above states this will be from the Tribunals Service. It's up to the Tribunal Service to formally lapse the appeal and send the relevant notification.1

I submitted a Subject Access Request in mid July for the details regarding the bank account where the “advance” was paid into. The DWP replied in late July to say my request had been forwarded to the “relevant business unit” to be actioned. Following the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) upholding my complaint I finally received the information I’d requested on Saturday.Despite the DWP continuing to claim for over a year that the “advance” had been paid into a bank account “belonging” to me the SAR response proved that this was NOT the case!!!Well, it showed the Sort code and part of the account number for the bank where the funds had been paid. After googling the Sort code I called the bank in question and they confirmed that they had no accounts in my name on the date of the alleged payment. How could the DWP continue to assert something for almost 12 months that was absolutely not the case!

Another absolutely shocking case of DWP cruelty:
“My identity was stolen and no-one believes me”https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cvgrdpd973wo
"It's been so bad I've thought about taking my own life. I'm just existing, not living, I just wanted someone to listen and help, but no-one believes me."The DWP just don’t care.
DWP - Not fit for purpose!0
