UKCPS NtK No Stopping Charge- Leeds Station

Welcome!Stinkerbelles said:Hi guys - new to this forum which I came upon searching for how to deal with a parking charge received from UKCPS for "No Stopping" at Leeds railway station car park. Sorry for my ignorance but I gather it's a big scam, so are you saying I should just not pay as the appeals process seems to be pretty pointless? If so what repercussions should I expect? Many thanks for any assistance 🙏🏼

Hi. I have had a very recent similar experience where i was in a big queue to get to the back entrance drop off zone. Due to teh queue we were running late, so i went past the queue, turned round in the area past the drop off point, not realising there was no stopping signs till i got there. However i was now out of the drop of queue and had no option but to let my daughter out to catch the train. I didnt even pull over, she just literally took about 10 seconds if that, leaving the car, whilst i was barely stopped. And then two weeks later i have got a fine for £60. Leeds station is an aboslute joke at the moment with the building work causing significant delays and jams as you get into it. It has come through as a parking fine - i didnt even park the car, i barely stopped. Did you get an outcome or appeak the decision?0

But you don't have a fine.Irate_Leeds said:Hi. I have had a very recent similar experience where i was in a big queue to get to the back entrance drop off zone. Hi all, I've just recently posted on this thread. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6630835/ukcps-no-stopping-charge-leeds-train-station
I have recently received this letter, the fine has now risen and they seem to be using a debt recovery service. Scare tactics?Would you love to know your thoughts on this and any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks0 -
It would help if I showed the photo. Here you are.

This isn't your thread but that letter is already shown in post 4 of the NEWBIES thread so bog standard £170 threatograms like that don't need any extra discussion on threads.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Heya,
Still in the process of the debt recovery stage by Trace Debt Recovery (I don't even think it's useful me sending the image given the last person posted the exact letter I got but with the details changed).
I did make a small mistake though- they were spam calling me every day, sometimes every hour, for the past week and with the nature of my job relying on phone calls I can't really not answer them. I blocked a number but they pestered me on a different.
I ended up answering (yes I know before you say it, stupid idea!) and saying that "I was driving into the station for less than 40 seconds… it is completely impossible for me to have the time to read signs that I can't stop here". Obviously I realised now by saying "I" that I've admitted to being a driver if they record/store the calls which I assume the rats do.
Do you think this impacts my chances of avoiding the fine at all? Or continue as usual and wait for the letter before claim to hit soon? Thnx for the help.

Continue as usual. It affects nothing. 🙂
