There is an interactive PIP test you can put the scores into.

Paper based assessments are done when minimal or no further input from the claimant is needed.

Minimal input can take the form of an unannounced phone call with a few questions, or as has happened here additional medical information being sought from medical professionals linked to the claimant.

Paper based assessments fall short of a full formal assessment.
I filled in the form to the best of my knowledge and tried fill in all sections Supplying lots of medical evidence. The 2 doctors Capita are going to contact are consultants what if they

Don't respond at all to the questions asked?

Ony answers some of the questions asked?

Write something different to what's written in the pip form?

What are the chances the Dr's will provide adequate information. They don't live the child we parents do?

Am I at a risk that this is going to work against now I am really worried and panicking have made the wrong decision by asking for paperbased assessment?
very rarely is more information obtained from the GP, they don't give information over the phone most times and also can't fully answer functional questions.

If there are inconsistences or variability in the report compared to the conditions reported or evidence sent with it or FE is old. Then a call is done to claimant or HPs. If the assessor can't get through then it goes to full consultation unless detrimental to the claimants health (severe MH etc), in this case it would be written with the evidence on hand and maybe given a short review period.

    UPDATE

This morning I phoned Capita to query if the form has been sent to the Dr's I was told its been requested but not posted yet.

At 1pm today out of the blue a got a private number phone call which I answered it was from a functional specialist nurse from Capita. She said I don't to take much time but I want to ask a few questions I was on the phone for approximately 15 minutes. Towards the end she said I have enough information from you and the evidence you sent in to do this as a paperbased assessment. I will write a reporting sebd to DWP I asked what about the information your waiting for from the Dr's she said I'm not going to wait for that I have enough info.

I am really confused now with this situation. Also if she is going to send report to DWP will the make a decision on a award or wait for the Dr information?

    Thanks

your phone call with have given them much more information than the GP will have been providing.

Have received a letter from PIP. Currently getting on DLA high care low mobility next payment due 14th October.

The letter says we are awarding you pip high mobility and high care for a ongoing period. We will pay you £723.02 into your account on 25th November this is money we owe you from 29th October to 24th November.

Why are they only paying £723.02 ?

Because they are paying you for a 27 day period rather than the normal 28 days (4 weeks)

    27/28 x £749.80 = £723.02

Subsequent payments should be at the rate of £749.80 for a 4 week period.
