  • I felt like i was getting a cold @Wednesday2000 but gargled with TCP for a couple of days and it has b*ggered right off

Today I repotted some plants that had somehow turned into being on the to-do list for nearly a month!

Well done on the warding off a cold - though there is no way I could ever gargle with TCP - just getting a waft from someone walking past me makes me feel a bit sick … You are made of sterner stuff than I! 😊

And thanks for the reminder to repot … I have two myrtles languishing that need some TLC … 🤔

OAT's ticked off:   the last of the pictures hung on the walls, rooms tidied, curtains shortened and hung for the two remaining windows, and an old bench pressure washed ready for sanding and painting.   Three metal grills also moved from orchard to barn to dry as these two are to be painted and hung on the wooden fence for climbers before the winter sets in.   This last not a style statement but rather I found the metal grills whilst clearing and had the VNM (Very Nice Man) I live with cut them up and then I thought of what I could do with them.    VNM cleared and repaired the gutters.

    An excellent weekend.

Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Thanks for the odd sock reminder @Cheery_Daff. As a result I got my OH to turf out his sock drawer for my missing sock and it was there. Down to zero odd socks now - thank you!
  • Thanks from me as well for the reminder to put vinted on holiday mode, have done so today before heading off for a few days tomorrow.
Typical that after weeks of procrastinating about doing listings, now that it would be impractical to do any I'm annoyed that I can't 😁

It's definitely the season of fruitfulness - I have (large)bowls and bowls overflowing with fruit (and have given some away picked another bowl full tonight (still lots to come - maybe the weekend?) - need space in the freezers to be able to prep it!

I have got all of the ironing up straight.  Not sure what else I've achieved OAT wise...

I did have a cough and a fever with the cold so I only just went out of the house for the first time just now to the shop and back.

I have been pottering around the house decluttering the past few days as I didn’t feel ill enough to be in bed. I have booked to see Bryan Adams in December so I booked the hotel, the train tickets and called up to book my pets into the kennel.

The phone at my GP doesn’t seem to be working so I called another chemist and he said you can get flu jabs from the 1st Oct if you walk in.
