Shall we ignore the first email from CNBC Northampton and follow instructions per email from National Services Complaints Team?

We received two emails. First one from CNBC:
.......... and the second one?  I note you did complain to HMCTS, any response from that complaint?  You are expecting CNBC to unwind their own errors NOT to have to pay £313 and submit a N244 application.

    Yes.

Once it's sorted and you're back on track, I'd put in a fresh complaint about the appalling "go away" email from Northampton.

Yes - and do it NOW.

Done. I'll post any response here.
Just to be clear we'll ignore the CCJ notice for now, received by email and letter.

    Best wishes for 2026 everyone.

Given my wife received a Judgment for Claimant on 1 Dec 2025 and then a letter from Civil Enforcement Limited on 10 December 2025 should we do anything to chase up the complaint we made to HM Courts and Tribunals Service?

Just to recap we filed our Defence and received an acknlowedgement email but this was ignored by CNBC and a Judgment for Claimant was issued. We complained as advised on this thread.

We received a reply by email from replies@optics.justice.gov.uk asking for a copy of the Defence on 19 December 2025 which we submitted on the same day. We received an acknowledgement email that they will respond in 14 days though this timeframe can vary.

I realise we have been through a holiday period during which things can slow down. Should we just wait for a reply. I am worried that in the meantime CNBC/Civil Enforcement may start to take further action to recover the £296.22 that they have a judgment for.

Once again we really appreciate any advice given.

    They won't enforce a CCJ under £600.

Did you do two emails: a complaint to the CNBC and a complaint to HMCTS?

As they were closed last week I think you need to wait another week then chase if needed.

Thank you! Yes we did also send to CNBC to which they replied (as posted in full above):

"CNBC:  Subject: Fwd: Fw: UNPROCESSED DEFENCE: DEFENCE - Claim No.: xxxxxxxx, MCOL customer number: MC00xxxxxxxx

    Good morning,

Thank you for your claim response.

I’m returning it as a Judgment (CCJ) has already been entered against you......"

Escalate back to CNBC? Or chase up HM Courts & Tribunals Service? If CNBC do I just inform them that I have lodged a complaint with HM Courts & Tribunals Service?
