This has been confirmed by my solicitor.
If Arrival time had been under 3 hours late why have Easyjet not given this as the reason for denying my claim?
The reason they have given is word for word the same as the response to the claim for the Manchester flight detailed at the start of the thread.
No-one else find this a little suspicious?

And as it stands the delay is under 3 hours (I assume Westin looked on the Flightradar site and is a subscriber), if all you have is a time stamped photo to prove otherwise then I wish you luck.0 -
Just found this.

"To further explain what happened on the previous sector; a third party supplier at the airport caused damage to the plane that was schedueled to take you to Newcastle.Once parked in the gate area, the damage to the aircraft had to be assessed. Unfortunately, there was significant damage found which we were unable to repair, we had no option but to delay your flight. We do take reasonable measures to avoid cancellations and delays to our flights by having replacement crews and spare aircraft available in our network. In the circumstances, these options were not possible as higher than expected levels of disruption to our network meant that our replacement crew and spare aircraft had already been deployed."
Not even joking.
They must be the unluckiest airline in the world to have 2 completely separate incidents of third party damage to a plane on the same day.Seems like EasyJet has given you a very detailed reply to the delay and the reason why compensation for the 2h 54m delay to your arrival is not going to be paid.
Presumably this is EZY269/15AUG with scheduled times of BFS 1410 NCL 1510 and which operated in the end BFS 1733 NCL 1804.
If so this was operated on an A319 registration G-EZDF.This aircraft was no where near MAN that day. The aircraft started its day in Belfast and operated BFS BHX BFS SOU BFS NCL BFS BHX BFS.
Aircraft can unfortunately be hit and damaged by airport ground equipment during their routine aircraft turns airports. Could be steps, airbridges, service vehicles or tugs. It happens. Bit like parking your car at Tesco and someone manages to run their trolley down the side of your car…..
I have a legal challenge to the denial already lodged.
Perhaps you should inform your Easyjet colleagues of this before commenting further.
Thanks. All of the timing and flying route information I pulled from a public accessible website, albeit with a subscription given the length of time since your flight to your post.
Apart from being a fairly regular flyer on EasyJet, I have no other connection to the airline.
I was attempting to show you that your aircraft had no connection that day to the MAN incident.
Hope that you get over your anger issues.0 -

I was on the flight and can categorically state the time that the door was first opened was 18:14.

We're you on the same flight?
Can you confirm the time the doors were opened?
