Right, now we're sort of all eating a bit more I think I will try and do some sort of plan, the plan is to use as much as possible from what we have in, spending only on what is 'needed' instead of 'wanted' however much protest is made. Bit of a naughty start but it's my sons birthday today so we're having our main meal out...so will start from Saturday. Lunches will be either soups, toasties or sandwiches, possibly a baked spud if I find any big enough in the bag. Some days the kids will have something different -for example Saturday DS1 will have the eggs, sausage etc seperate as he doesn't like omlette because it's mixed together.
Saturday - Omlettes - haven't had them for ages & got eggs need using up (seperate for DS1)
Sunday - Beef dinner (might have 2 meats and do some left over Turkey with it)
Monday - Fajitas (less spicy chicken with wraps for the boys)
Tuesday - Picky tea of pizza, onion rings, wedges and chicken strips
Wednesday - Goulash with something (chicken for DS1)
Thursday - Bacon and peas risotto (pasta for DS1)
Friday - Sausages, beans, eggs and hash browns.
Right suppose I should do a shopping list to go with that, so for main meals I need - 2 peppers for the fajitas, eggs and some carrots. Need some fruit, couple of packed lunch things as kids are back to school next week, that's about all really so will hopefully resist spending too much now I know I can do all that with so little shopping! One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
totally disorganised this week and have managed to run the freezer right down over christmas and new year which is great but makes planning difficult as I tend to shop from my freezer, but here's my attempt for this week
(my resolution is to have my five fruit and veg a day each week, mostly breakfast smoothies and salad lunches but also with evening meals via hidden veg when needed!)
fri - curry from freezer with lentil and chickpea side
sat - pasta something with hidden veg
sun - roast chicken and veg and taters etc
mon - homemade chicken pie and mash and veg
tue - chili con carne in slo cooker with hidden veg
wed - beef stew with loads of veg
thur - curry night at pub (veggi thali)
fri - fish and chips, probably, with mushy peasBlah0 -

you have my sympathies - I was without an oven from march until november due to various complications - having one again now seems like such a luxury!Blah0
