BA app not letting me sign in

Has anyone else found this? I can sign in on my laptop no problem, but the app on my tablet and phone just produces an error oops. Having googled this it appears this is the norm. Any way round it? Thanks

Presumably you're signing in the on the website on your laptop (not an app)?

Though if it doesn't work on both your tablet and phone, and other people suggest this is normal, it would appear to be out of your control!Know what you don't0 -

You could try uninstalling and re-installing the app.
But it's more than likely BA's IT having a wobble. Pretty normal.0 -
Clear cache cookies etc and if that doesnt work, contact them as may be a technical issue on your account

Apparently it is logging me out as I have an Authenticator problem. I've tried everything, it is a rubbish app0

BA's IT is abysmal, has been for years and unfortunately I can't see it improving anytime soon. Sometimes, for me, things work on the app but not the website, sometimes it's the other way round, sometimes nothing works at all, and sometimes everything works.
I'd suggest clearing all the data and trying again tomorrow0 -

And careful if you ever need to change your mobile number. I updated my mobile number on their site and still a year on they send me texts to my old number as verification for me to login to my BA account. Alternative is a recovery passcode - I don't have one - or fingerprint/face ID which I don't have on a desktop. The app is fine for boarding passes/changes - but not for booking flights/searches.
Apparently they can't do anything about it - and actually send texts to the current number I have registered on my BA account.
So I have had to keep my old number active - just to get the texts to login. Iberia - their sister airline's site - is quite buggy too.
So if you fly BA - never change your mobile number!0 -
The BA app is the biggest load of trash around. Almost never works for getting a boarding pass for check-in. I find using ba.com through the mobile browser then getting it to email you the boarding pass as a PDF is more reliable or just go to the desk to ask for a paper boarding pass.
Sometimes clearing the app cache will help for a while but not for long. There are always people at the gate struggling to display the boarding pass on their phone.
Never had a problem with any other airline.0
