It used to be a normal thing but apparently not so now.
I got well told off in Tesco for suggesting such a thing and how it was like stealing.
Fair enough if it's not allowed but I think the lecture went too far.

As far as I know you need to be using your card to use the vouchers. I've had them rejected if I haven't got my card with me.
That's both Tesco and the co-op.

But if you're doing someone else's shopping I can't see how anyone would know unless you told them it's someone else's shopping. I would imagine that person would be happy for the small amount of points in exchange for getting a personal shop.

That is unless you are shopping for them as a business and they are paying you. Then I think it would be wrong. And you could take their cards to get discount and vouchers for them

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on

The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

If I'm in Lidl and the person in front doesn't have the app and I spot I can get them a discount (one I don't need) I will offer to do this.  I've also had people offer me the chance to grab their points because they don't have the app or they don't want it the points as they've reached the 10% off target but are just doing a small shop.

I have also done something similar in Tesco when the person in front is searching for more pennies - I'll take the points and give them one of my clubcard vouchers or pay that last £.

Thank you for helping others out, I have done so with cash a few times myself, person in front of me struggling to pay for whats in their basket, I just cant resist helping them out, and is good there are other people like me.
