Lovely goals for the year Fortune and agree that making positive time away from the stresses etc. is a very good idea - coming from someone who's been in the depths of it, having some breathing space really does make a difference!

Do you know, just writing it down as an aim has made a positive difference.  And I keep reminding myself to get some perspective - no one is going to die, we won't lose the house, it will be galling to lose the money we've spent or have to pay more but we could live with that.

Fortune - have you got the impression that no-one has challenged builder's shoddy business practices before?  Is that why he's spouting nonsense, as no-one has ever queried/pushed back?  All power to your elbow for not capitulating - but that doesn't mean it's not a pita waiting for it all to play out.  Thank heavens you've other things to occupy and delight you, and that this isn't occupying all your available bandwidth.

So Far So Good 😂

We're nearly at the end of the week and so far so good.

Health 🧘‍♀️

• I've been to 3 gym classes this week and I did a yoga session at home this morning 😇  I may even do another yoga session tomorrow 😇
• 3lbs have been lost already which brings me back to my pre-Christmas weight (which is still too much but progress is progress 🙂)

Wealth 💰

• I've been notified of Court action.  This is (weirdly) a great relief.  I think because it means I won't ever have to deal directly with bully builder again
• there's been a little unexpected expenditure.  Mr F decided to lay a hedge so some stakes and binders were required
• Handyman is going off travelling from March so we are going to get him to do some additional dates for us while he's still available.  I think we're going to try and keep on top of things ourselves until he gets back.

Happiness 😁

• I have started on a new top.  The pattern and material were bought before Christmas but I haven't had time to make it up before now.  It's a stretch fabric so I am using my overlocker - for only the 3rd time 😲  My first two attempts weren't entirely successful but this make seems to be going better.  I've only the cuffs and hems to do so am going to attempt those this afternoon
• I've been out twice this week - a WI meeting and a Quiz Night.  I bought a raffle ticket at the WI meeting and picked a couple of things up in the book and present exchange which I need to give small donation for.  I bought a coffee at the Quiz Night but was given a 10% off voucher to use in January which will offset this as we have a meal there booked.  We came 2nd this time but came 1st at the previous Christmas Quiz 🏆.  As Mr F was on the team that time, we won two £10 vouchers for the venue.  We've put those towards another night out.
• I've given myself a pep talk about putting the legal shenanigans into perspective and I've had a chance to talk to the experts so am feeling a little less stressed about things.  The Yoga will help too and I'm focussing on self-care in all things.

Happy Weekend guys!  I'm going back to the sewing machine because it's not just a caft - it's therapy 😁
