Morning all
Round I had exactly the same with connections but nailed strands with no hints. Got a washload to peg out and it’s bed strip day.
Hope everyone has a good day and I hope my watch turns upDon't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Pleased to report that I slept very well after my busy Thursday. I've noticed a good night's sleep usually happens when I've done gardening, so am aiming to do some every day (weather permitting).

I should see Smeaton's Tower every day but Wren's not keen on walks at the moment so we no longer go even that far. I live less than a quarter of a mile away!Tried the Too Good to Waste breakfast bag from the multinational hotel chain. Okay if you like hotel pastries but other than that defo not worth it. Glad I know. The best option locally is the independent ice cream maker / shop and that was lovely.I decided after doing the ironing yesterday that I can donate a pair of trousers to the CS. *fling*Wordle in six, no lines on Connections yet and Strands was mostly words I knew that are apparently famous musicians. Like playing Proper Noun scrabble - it gets old very quickly.Have now settled down to clear some of the Admin on my desk. There's rather a lot I need to catch up on.Better is good enough.6

Hello. I didn't get wordle. I probably could have but wasn't in right frame of mind to think hard enough. One line so far on connections.
I have done one work shift, done dailies, walked Poppet, brought towels in off line, wiped radiators and skirting through the house, hoovered through and cleaned five windows. Also s&sd downstairs loo and cleaned fireplace.
Two lines on connections, strands with seven hints, letterboxed in five.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Afternoon all. Two loads of washing done and dried outside. I do love that. Vacuumed through downstairs and met DD1 and DGD out for a walk and coffee this morning. As I've been awake since 3.30 I'm feeling a bit sleepy now but no way am I going to nap!5

Not a very good night's sleep, so didn't get up as early as i'd hoped.
Decided I'd resort to the flying that suits me best - each room I go in, I have to do 3 bits of tidying/cleaning before I leave the room.
So, ensuite: folded and hung up towels; cleaned sink and surround; emptied recycling caddy.
bedroom: few clothes put away; washing gathered and put in machine; cloth bag I use for library books shaken out and added to washing load.
kitchen: put away washing up which had been draining since last night; put wm on; emptied DW and put away. As a bonus, I wiped over a few appliances and kitchen surfaces and vacuumed the floor.
hall: vacuumed; took my college bag upstairs as it was sitting in the under-stairs alcove. Couldn't find another activity unless you count emptying the vacuum bag.
lounge: vacuumed floor and sofa; put a few things away.
After that lot it was time for lunch - then my energy and enthusiasm waned so I fell asleep.

Morning all xx
I was ready to get up at 5.20am but thought it was twirly to disturb Joey. So I hung on until 6.05 am. I've made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, only managed one line on Connections, supped two brews and read quite a few chapters of my book.
Time to put pencil to paper and write a list of Saturdailies plus the other 1000001 that are crowding in for attention.
Enjoying the cooler weather while it lasts. I had a good week at work and I'm looking forward to a chilled but productive weekend.
Love to all.

I thought I was late clocking in, but where is everybody?
Yesterday I managed to cut 5 curtain lengths from the fabric roll end that I bought weeks (probably months) ago, and still have a large piece left over. I got my knickers in a twist over drops v. half-drops so, knowing that I had extra fabric, just cut full drops and will trim them to the right length later. It's not very frugal, but I paid very little for the fabric (it's gone back up to its regular price now!) and I can use the short offcuts to make patchwork or stripy shopping bags, to sell at the Christmas Fair.
I have been stuck at my computer for most of this morning, writing the prayers for tomorrow's church service, but they're done now. Lunch is next on my to-do list, then do a food shop and hopefully drop off various items that we no longer require at the CS, followed by a walk with Rosie. She wasn't at all happy last night when someone started a firework display at 11pm, and neither was I.
Hope you all have a good weekend xxx5
