Morning all
Am off to another volunteer session in local public gardens this morning. Will catch up with flying later - especially yesterday's bathroom bits 😬"I started out with nothing
And still got most of it left"

Morning all,
My list for today
Go over to the stables and check on the horse
Laundry x 3 loads
Do paid stuff
Check banking and direct debits
Sort through my drawers and remove anything that is no longer needed.
HHI
Pack the stuff for the weekend, as we are having a few family days away, as it's DS's birthday this weekend
Hoover the living room carpet
Return equipment to a client that I am no longer doing work for
Collect DS's cake
A bit of shopping whilst in town to collect the last bits for DS
Remind DH to check over the car for tomorrow
Wrap DS's birthday presents and write his cards
Place an order for DS's drama group clothing
Go over to the stables and do the required tasks with the horse
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday. Hugs to those who want/need them.7 -
Morning all. My son is visiting today because he's picking up his children from their other grandmother. Haven't seen him since last November. It was my birthday yesterday and I didn't even get a text from him let alone a card so I'm trying to be grown up here and not let it show how upset I feel. I don't want an argument because we don't see each other often enough to sort it out. Sorry for the whinge but I need to vent a little.Anyway. I've tidied round and dustpanned through downstairs, I just couldn't be bothered to get the vacuum out although it would have taken about the same time. Lint rollered the settee where my husband's brother visited yesterday with his spanielHope everyone's OK.Visit all done and OK. No point in upsetting the applecart. See him again in another year maybe.7

Impressive Kazwookie.(((Hugs))) PollytBear. For those of us who don't have kids I sometimes wonder if old age will be lonely because I/we didn't have them. Sounds like not all kids remember they've got parents. I'm glad you've seen him anyway and it went smoothly. Many happy returns for yesterday.Another Too Good To Go box snapped up from a place literally round the corner that I've never visited before. A couple of slices of very obviously homemade quiche, so I've eaten half of one of them because I was hungry and it was teatime. Last week I snaffled a box of ice cream from an ice cream parlour which was yumptious and a couple of panninis which took care of lunch for the following day. I like this App, but I'm in two minds as to whether to see what the breakfast box is like from the nearest multinational hotel chain. They're all within really easy walking distance, or I wouldn't bother otherwise.Ironing. I'm past half way through the pile and have realised there's also some mending in the pile. *curses*Better is good enough.6

I feel for you Pollybear

when i was at work today we had a torrential downpour…I could hear the rain on the roof and yet, when i got home an hour or so later my washing was dry…so either it didn’t rain at home or it was much less severe. It’s a mile between work and home.
Bout it really, except i’ve mislaid the watch of mums which I kept, so hats on my mind. WM locked and loaded. DW gets a night off as we had salad wraps for tea (dinner) so not enough pots used.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear3 -
Belated happy birthday Pollybear.
Welcome to Joey; we had a budgie called Joey when I was a child.
Finally a breakthrough in the shoulder saga; managed zumba last night (minimal arms used) and had a long chat with instructor, particularly the merits of Ibu rather than Para. Had physio appt this morning and her view is that the current signs point to a strain with significant swelling rather than rotator cuff damage, which is pleasing. She seconded the Ibu and advised me to do the max allowed for 3 days. Also did rather kneading-type massage which wasn't too excruciating. I've got another appt with her next week but am already feeling more positive. I'm allowed to do whatever exercise I like provided it doesn't cause pain (I'll second that) - so zumba, gym pool is good as it is warm, short running and I've just sourced some free online seated/standing Pilates as I can't yet lie flat.
Oh, watching the badgers was way more exciting than flying.............
Did some gardening today.
Sorting out more of Mum's photos.
Need to do some flying tomorrow as although it was clean and tidy for BIL, a few days of us all tramping in and out, eating, getting out photos/CDs/magazines etc has made it all a bit cluttered and def needs the vacuum.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.5 -
Morning. Hope you're doing well.
Towels are on line, admin up to date. Two work shifts today but I hope to fit some flying in. Yesterday I cleaned the windows and sills in our bedroom as per list.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Morning all xx
A very belated Happy Birthday Pollybear and a mahoosive hug too 😘
Valli - I once saw a straight line across the road into the village - wet one side, dry the other. Weather is weird. Glad your washing escaped a drenching xx
I'm up, made my bed, showered, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with two hints (both for the same clue - never heard of him / her / it), completed Wordle in five, only managed one line in Connections (I was on the right track with a second line but....And I still don't understand the connection on the purple line 🤔 ), packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
Joey is up and dozing on his perch. He says I get up too early for budgies 😂.
It's Friyayyyyyy. Having a steady week at the paid stuff - I hope today continues that trend. Last week was manic - we can do without a manic Friday thank you very much.
Love to all.
