Lucky Joey finding a lovely new homeSounds like everyone has been very busy. I walked DD's dog for an hour first thing, then did two loads of washing which dried outside. Had shopping delivered and put it all away. Took dog out again and then took dog home. Back here and cut the grass, edged it and swept. Did another washload with throw from settee (for the dog who isn't allowed on the furniture at home!). Cooked dinner and cleared up. Went out with DD2 for a coffee late afternoon and came home and made tea.Quite a busy day6

Finally caught up. Everyone's been very busy.Well done MMM on getting on the course. You've worked so hard for it. I hope you enjoy it and your new career.Well done also Kaz on reaching the halfway walking point, and the weightloss. It's hard enough losing it, but keeping it off - another story. I've put back most of the 4kgs I lost earlier this year which I didn't mind doing at the time but I can't quite remember exactly how I did it which is very frustrating.Ionafan I know exactly what you mean by a kettle plug, but that is the kind of comment which produces a blank stare from Belovéd. So yes, I think it's a woman thing. We had a wonderful friend called Jan, very sadly no longer with us and much missed, who said that men were designed to go out of the cave on hunting expeditions with spears and drag the occasional wooly mammoth back, while women were designed to stop toddlers falling into the firepit. That's why we're more observant. The longer she's gone the more her logic works for me.Huge congratulations Polly Bear! 53 years is amazing. I hope you had a lovely rest of the day despite the medical issues. So lovely to hear you've got another heartbeat in the house now that you've given Joey a new home Round.Belovéd always gets Wordle in one less line than me, I can generally only do two lines on Connections and the fourth one is always too American for me to understand. Strands I like, but this week's aren't fun.Three loads through the WM and line dried, huge lasagne made alongside five pasta suppers for the freezer, Twinks defrosted to be baked while the oven's on this evening and tomato thing constructed for tonight's supper as we have a lovely glut of them. Some given to a neighbour. I also found a cucumber lurking which I hadn't realised was even growing! Kitchen floor also swept and washed. It needed it.Will try and keep up tomorrow.Better is good enough.8

This is the first time I've posted since Pollybear's announcement, so may I add my congratulations to you and MrPB, albeit very belatedly xx
Congratulations also to Kaz on your achievements - the walking and the weight loss. I am still going in the right direction but my progress is much slower than yours, on both counts; however, I am determined to get my BMI down to the green zone one day. The last time it was there must have been about the time my DD was born, and she's 50 next year! x
Round, how lovely that you and Joey have found each other! xx
IJan's logic, Honey_Bear! I wonder what DH would say/do if I sent him out tomorrow with a shopping list for that one item?
The cardiologist was very pleased with me and said that he will now put me on PIFU = Patient Initiated Follow Up: it's a sort of halfway house between carrying on with regular cardiology appointments and being completely discharged from their outpatient system, in that I can ring them to ask about something that's worrying me or to request an appointment asap, if that becomes necessary. Very happy with that!
I was going to sew curtains today, but DH said he'd like to go to a NT property near my old stomping ground, which I hadn't visited for a while, so we decided to go straight from my horse piddle check-up, since we would already be partway there and Rosie would get her walk with L. It turned out that my last visit to this NT property must have been before 1990, as that is when they converted a barn into the new Visitor Reception which I'd never seen! It's a very interesting house, not very big, and the small garden area and orchard with the meadows and woodland beyond are superb. The best thing was seeing lots of young families picnicking, playing quoits/noughts and crosses/beanbag-throwing on the lawn, doing a butterfly hunt along the lavender border, climbing the tree hide, and generally having a really good time in the gloriously warm but not not roasting sunshine.
I'm pleased to say I have achieved a bit of flying today:
- WMx1 done, hung out and FUPA
- kitchen, utility, DR and LR floors hoovered
- kitchen and bathroom S&S'd
- bed made
- list started of items to be taken to the tip next week (more will be added).
Tomorrow, therefore, will be a sewing morning...

Morning all xx
Thank you for the lovely welcoming of Joey into the Flylady fold. 😍
Katie Budgie went home yesterday evening so it's me and Joey this morning. I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, only managed two lines on Connections, and I'm supping a brew. Joey thinks I get up twirly so he's gone back to sleep.
I'm feeding Poppy (cat) for DB and DSil today - so I'll drop in after work and spend half an hour with her for fusses and cuddles.
The general waste bin and blue recycling box are out waiting to be emptied. I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for the paid stuff.
Have a good day.

Morning all
I have budgie envy, we always had them when we were younger and we had some real characters. Lucky budgie to have found you. I will just continue to enjoy the bunnies and the cat who, incidentally, spends time with me quite a lot much to Miss Valli’s chagrin.
WM x 2 and DW x 1 so hoping to get things on the line.
Apparently it’s national lighthouse day so a nod to Mr Smeaton who designed the last lighthouse I’ve seen IRL
