Life has been plodding along, I've been meaning to post and then forgetting or getting distracted!

I have finally paid my mum back after probably close to 6 years of debt to her totalling over 7 grand. It feels good to no longer having that over me.

Credit card debt has gone up since I've been putting van stuff on it with the intention of paying it off, but then only paying the minimum payments, but now mum is paid I have set up a £500 dd to pay it off quickly.

I have secured a 40 hour contract for 5 months starting in November so I will have a decent wage and won't need to live off savings, so that's a relief.

Last year I only had 10 hours, which was tight, but I don't pay rent or for electricity or water so it just covered my other living costs.

I've applied for a new loan to pay off the existing van loan at a much better interest rate. If I get it I would save over £2k and pay it off 5 months faster.

I got accepted for the loan but it is a higher apr than I applied for and higher than my current apr, so I won't be going ahead with that one.
