I used Olio for the first time today. I got some bread and bagels for lunches, and then croissants for breakfast. I cut the bagels before I put them in the freezer.

I've applied for a 2nd 0% interest purchase credit card. I'm hoping to alternate spending on the 2 cards so that I can pay the balance in full on one while also having a balance on the other to hopefully increase my credit score so that I can get a better rate on the loan in a year or so.

I only use the cards for sinking funds which come from a savings account earning interest, so the longer I can keep it there, the better.

Payday tomorrow so I'm looking at the budget. I seem to have been really social last month, and spent a fair bit on drinks, but I didn't have to fill up with fuel so it balanced out.

I've adjusted the budget for next month, I will need fuel but I might just fill half the tank since I will need a refill in November since I'm moving to a different campsite. Sings and roundabouts really.

The freezer is only half full so not sure how much batch cooking to do as it needs to be empty for the move, but I do need to try at least one new recipe before the end of the month as per the new year's resolution. I've only made a couple of things I didn't enjoy but have been able to add more variety to my repertoire.

I think for diesel it's around 135p. I have a transit custom so it's about £75 for a full tank

I tried a new recipe I saw on TikTok, butter chicken topped with potatoes. Absolutely delicious, but the ginger paste I had sitting in the fridge had gone mouldy, so obviously didn't use that. I also over boiled the potatoes so instead of them being roasties, they were much more mash-like, but still good.

I have booked a holiday to Rome in the middle of November for a solo adventure. I've never been abroad so I'm really looking forward to it and also a bit nervous. I need to book trains to the airport and decide what I want to do when I'm there
