Lost a post on number 18 of 20 points - bah humbug. Wil try again later.
I don't have a garage or even a shed. A lot of the chinchilla stuff is on top of the cage and I would like more of it up there. I did ask DS3 to take everything down so I could reorganise it (there's a cardboard box - the sort that holds 20 lettuces) and atm it's only got the chinchilla's fan rather drunkenly on it's side, it could hold so much more). I am only one inch taller than the cage so I can't see properly what is up there. It will be sorted (the stuff in the bin has been there for ages, it needs sorting).
I'm easing gently into the day. Everything is moving but I'm going nowhere in a hurry. I want to do the rubbish and recycling, move all the food into the kitchen (I only put the freezer stuff away last night) and set up drinks storage in there (including the fridge and freezer). Washing could go out and I want to do appointments and paperwork. I found my original phone yesterday. It's now charged up. 3 more books ready to go back to the library.
Grateful for time to rest and take stock, good books to read, being the only one awake.8 -
Yesterday I went out to buy a bed and bought a chair. The Hospice shop did not have a single bed - there was one in which had been sold, sent back because it would not go up the stairs and then someone else had bought it (it had the sold sticker on). However there was an armchair near the window. I have one of the Swedish shop wing back armchairs on my wishlist at £249 in green. This was the same style but in brown - dark brown flowers with cream leaves and centres on a coffee coloured background - for £60 and a £20 delivery fee. I paid., They asked if I wanted it delivered today so I've been waiting in all day - it came a few minutes before 5 pm. It's probably better quality as the Hospice shop has well to do patrons.
I spent the day moving stuff because there isn't a lot of spare room in here. I started with anything already boxed or bagged and moved things into the kitchen (all on the worktops). Lots of drinks and chinchilla food that were by the front door have been moved and the glass picture frames are safely behind the table top (still in the cardboard). I moved as much as possible off the 2 seater couch so that the drinks and other things could sit on there and move along until they were at the kitchen end.
I've had another look at the bed settee and I think it will be high enough (higher than the couch seats) so may not need to buy an alternative.
Grateful for my new chair, grazing from the fridge, getting stuff done (in small quantities).7 -
Happy new armchair @grandmanerd.

Carried all the shopping in that wasn't brought in last night & put it away. Tried 3 times, unsuccessfully to get through to the garage,as DH thinks one if my brake pads needs attention.
Painted 2 sides of a she'd (3rd side didn't need doing, & 4th side is the house), then creosoted 1.5 sides of the wood store/she'd & 1 side of the garage, oh & the fence behind the wheelie bins.
After dinner, I weeded a path & another 1m+ square, lots between the chippy stones. Had sore fingers afterwards & back & pelvis. Sat & read my book outside for an hour afterwards, whilst DS2 hoovered my car 😀
Knitted after tea
Grateful for getting lots done, DS heloing, a beautiful day to be outside in nature & messages from friendsUse it up, wear it out

Good to read of people’s progress ❤️. You all inspire me.Warm day here but still made lentil soup, added sweet potato as not many carrots. That will be lunches for the week so helps me be prepared. Also helps with simplifying.Have been aware of triggers and am being kind to self. Am fine now and lessons learned.Going to t&sco later this afternoon to use a £3 off coupon and they will have their meat discounted by then. I got some good deals a month ago when I did this.Take care all. We’re just doing the best we can4

Lots put away, lots still to do. I'm very slow today and ended up creaky.
Grateful for getting things done, good books, DS3 buying me chocolate when he went to the shop4 -
Take care everyone.
DH feeling sick again today. Walked 5 miles, stopping off at the cemetery en route. DS1's best friend popped by for a visit when I got home.
Cleared space under a tree (weeds, stones & lots of twigs), then moved some soil over, ready for DH to make a small raised bed to plant a rambling rose in. This is where DS1 used to hang his hammock.
Read some of my book. Did the ironing after tea & watched the end of a series.
Grateful for folk agreeing to give me lifts to & from work tomorrow, whilst I get my car sorted out, another area cleared, hugs from DS3 & him giving me a bag of sherbet lemons 😀Use it up, wear it out

A slow day, couldn't lift much so things have moved but just small things - picking out stray pieces of cutlery, collecting random items to go back to the kitchen, plucking a pack of padded envelopes out of a box and putting them near the desk, folding towels etc and a few extra bits of looking after myself. Washing sore bits carefully, drying them carefully and then applying antiseptic cream (small quantities being used up).
I stumbled upon a cache of British Dramas on U toob and am really enjoying them. Grateful for dramas, good books, silly books and getting things done (have identified a couple of targets for next week).3
