years ago i read weevils don’t like dry so when i’ve had them i’ve used a hairdryer in nooks and crannies. was in semolina, it was, as we used to say “wick wi em” (Lancastrian for heavily infested).
When i buy flourish wrap it ina plastic bag and stick it in the freezer for 24 hours. This helps prevent importedinfestations.
Bed changed. WM and DW locked and loaded. More anniversary cards bought. and a t shirt. i have stuff I must take back. Like ypthe Mr and Mr and Mrs and Mrs anniversary cards bought in error. And the first t shirt because i prefer tge second. Cash shoved in regular savings account. (I know Iona, but it does make more in that a/c. Plus it’s a good habit.
Off to Derby tomorrow but must be mindful of tourist attraction which will clog up the pretty route. M1 it is.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all xx
It's weeeeekeeeennnd woot woot. And I'm up early but that's OK.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in TWO woot woot, completed Connections with two lives lost, and I'm supping my first brew.
First job is to write this week's list starting with my Saturdailies as usual. I'm going into town with J this afternoon and will buy bird seed and some new kitchen towels. Old ones will then be torn up to use as cleaning cloths. I'll check my Shopping List to see if there's anything else I can pick up from the same store. But I'm limited as J's driving and she has a Smart car (I think that's what it's called) - tiny boot, no back seat. I need new pillows but .... maybe next time (when I drive).
Very still and overcast here. No idea what the forecast is.
Have a good day. Take care.

Morning all,
My list for today
Go to the stables and check on DD's horse
Take DD to her riding lesson
Check banking and direct debits
Deal with Mr T's delivery
Check loyalty accounts and see if any points can be turned into vouchers (I need to get back into this routine as I've not checked for a while)
Check the diary for next week and make sure everything is in
Take DD to the stables so she can do what needs to be done for the horse, as we have a long list for today
Make some more progress on decorating DS's room
Pull stuff together for tomorrow's boot sale
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday/weekend

Jazee said:SuffolkSue, you're more than welcome. If you read between the lines we don't do that much at all.In fact, as little as possible in my case. The thing about being a Flylady that really works for me is that when I do actually have to get to grips with the house, it all happens because I'm on this Thread. I know what to do, how to do it and my FlyFriends are cheering me on and that means I can keep going. I then return to my slapdash way of doing things but the house looks relatively presentable for a few days.I also have to say that my Room of Doom, which I have been working on for a year by Dot-To Dotting is a pleasure to walk into now, although it wont be for long because it's the dumping ground for the whole house when I'm having to get to grips with the rest of the house. I've accepted this is a never-ending process but gradually, over the years, I've managed to eat away at the mountains of stuff we have had thrust on us by 'generous' relatives and the endless consumerism that I fall for but am battling to resist.I'm not posting much because I'm putting in some extra hours at the Foodbank, dealing with a recalcitrant wall, and getting involved in a couple of campaigns. How I thought I was going to manage all of this at the same time is a complete mystery.Had a lovely day out yesterday with a couple of friends. If anyone's ever holidaying in this area there's a bus that goes all around the Rame peninsula and along Whitsand Bay - the view are outstanding. All for the 'price' of a bus pass. Fabulous.PS I got into the habit of shoving all my flour into plastic bags, sealing them, freezing them for 24 hours as soon as I bought them a long time ago after an infestation years ago. I've got a bit sloppy about that lately so as there appears to be a current problem in that area I'll go back to doing it. I discovered you can use the flour straight out of the freezer if, like me, you forget about the only 24 hours needed bit.Better is good enough.6

Washing is pegged out.
Unexpected visit from DS 😍 who left bearing a box of his trophies. Every little helps.

Afternoon all. Two loads of washing dried outside today. Beautiful out but due for some showers the next two days. Walked the dog three times and also had an extra walk to fetch the newspaper when the shop was closed because the shutters broke so I had to go further to another one.Not much else done but that's all I planned so good enough!5

Good afternoon, or is it now good evening…I will leave that one for Round to peruse and advise 😘
Hmmm, flour in the freezer for 24 hours eh? Seems I only partially listened and did the plastic bag bit, then straight into the cupboard. Freezer tetris will be needed to make a flour shaped space.
It’s been a busy day, but I am painfully aware that it will look very little when written down. Here goes…
wm x 1
allotment, lots of pickings. When I say lots, 2kg of beans was just the tip of the iceberg.
Veg prep once I got home. I am seeing DSiL next week. She may get a veg box as a gift, as I tell her that bunches of flowers are so passé.
Downstairs toilets walls given another coat to cover the workmen marks and small scuffs. The prep as always took longer than the painting.
Deadheading and watered the pots and the gh
Courgettes turned into a New To Me recipe for dinner this evening.
See, I said it wouldn’t look much, but it took the whole day. Mind you, I wasn’t rushing at any point.5 -

The car is packed, and I will be heading off to do a car boot sale early in the morning, so it's time for an early night.
Tomorrow, I won't be doing much except attending the boot sale, hoping to sell some of my clutter and looking after the pets and the horse. I won't be online until late tomorrow, so I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.6
