Good afternoon, I've had a busy morning. I visited the stables to check on the horse and then attended an interview.
My list for the rest of the day
Make a start on decorating DS's bedroom
Do paid stuff
Do some more work in the garden
Check banking and direct debits
Hoover the living room
Take the equipment back to the client that I no longer work for
Remind DH to measure and get pricing for installing DW
Do the rest of the back to school shopping
Take DD over to the stables so she can exercise her horse and do what is required.
I think that is everything that I'm working on today. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday.

Busy day, but not on the flying front 🤫. Bedding washed and has dried outside. I went to meet an old friend for coffee and then lunch at a midway village cafe. She has got quite unstable over the past 6 months and is getting so frustrated with this whole aging lark. Home for a cuppa, and to see that the builder has laid the floor in the downstairs toilet. We are out for an Indian meal tonight at a local-ish restaurant, DD’s request. Slinky? What slinky?6

Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, showered, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, completed Strands with no hints, failed at Wordle 😡, completed Connections with no lives lost (found it super easy today which made up for Wordle's crash and burn), taken my meds, turned over the calendars, and I'm supping a brew.
I'll feed the birds and put out the recycling before I set off for the paid stuff. I'm enjoying my new roles, I'm to have a new supervisor from 1st September, and our pay rise, plus back pay, minus the raise they already had to pay us to keep up with minimum wage comes through in August. Every little helps.
Boiler service is booked in for Monday. I have my August birthday cards and gifts ready to write/ wrap...just need chocolate to add to DDil's. I don't think I'll ever be on top of everything ... looks at garden, looks at dust, but I'll keep on keeping on.
Love to all

You don't have to be on top of everything Round, just keep swimming towards the surfaceSorry I don't post much but I get a complex about being boring and chicken out. We've had rain again today but it's really warm and humid. I've got my daughter's dog for 10 days so we've had some wet walks today. I rub-a-dubbed him with a towel when we got back and he looks like a teddy bear now!DH has been ill with a UTI all week, he hasn't got worse (with antiobiotics) but isn't appreciably better either. He has a nurse's appointment on Monday so hopefully they'll give him another course if he hasn't improved by then.Otherwise just usual housework and washing etc. Oh I had three of my grandchildren for the day on Monday and we took the dogs to the woods. And I wonder why I'm tired!Hope everyone's OK x4

I’m another who has the I’m boring thought .
Spent much more than I intended in town this morning, but it was all on things on my list except for a small rose plant for a good friend who was battered by troubling health news yesterday and a small piece of v reduced Brie ,!
v greateful I get my state pension weekly and have enough in the freezer to survive the weekend .
have spent some time in the garden this afternoon ,my plum tree is absolutely laden to the extent that a branch has broken ,so harvested all those plums and now washing and sorting into ripe and need a few more days .
loads more on the tree ,will freeze. ,stew and May even make jam !
see more plum days in my immediate future along with the final crop of rhubarb
Stay safe all7 -
Sorry that was meant for the daily ,none of you know me at all !,
I lurk and am in awe of you all7 -
SuffolkSue, you're more than welcome. If you read between the lines we don't do that much at all.
Apart from usual dailies I cleaned out the kitchen bin and went to the seaside today. Wordle in four.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Good evening, It’s a late post from me today as I’ve been away all day on a trip organised by one of DS’s groups. It was a lovely day out to a local farm park and the weather stayed nice.I’m currently grabbing a quick cuppa and then heading to the stables with DD to check on the horse. After the stables I’ll be taking DS to his drama group. Might grab dinner whilst in town for me and the kiddos. Also whilst I’m in town I’ll get the paint that I need for DS’s room and DH is going to price things for installing DW.6

@Pollybear and @Suffolksue please do delurk and join us.
I don't think any of us are entrepreneurial go-getters living the high life. I may be wrong of course.
We're a random group of people who found each other online because there are always pots to wash and laundry to fold. And we share life's ups and downs with each other along the way.
Polly - I hope they get on top of DH's UTI. Thank you for your encouragement...I can't swim though. Too literal? Me? It has been said. Cheesy grin.
Sue - I'm more than happy to read about plums, jam and rhubarb. Plus anything else you'd like to share with us.
Flying? After a hectic day at the paid stuff bringing in the emptied bins is about my limit.
Love to all.

Evening all. You have all brought a smile to my face - thank you for that!
Today I have decluttered ££ for my goddaughter W's secondary school blazer. It is washable polyester but has that awful plaited braid sewn all round the outside edge and the top of the pockets, so it will have to be dry cleaned if she dirties it. They really haven't considered the cost involved
I have also managed to declutter 3 frogs from my to-do list, where they have been lurking for several weeks:
- I ironed DH's trousers which he last wore on holiday
- I cut a very large, heavy fleece blanket in half and machined the hems (it lives on the back of the sofa and we use it as a warm wrap in winter, so now we have a perfectly adequate piece each and don't need to fight over it). Lots of fluffy bits fell onto the DR floor so I had to hoover again
- and I cut the useless "designer bow" extension off the bottom of a lightweight blouse which had very quickly become bedraggled and creased, then re-hemmed the blouse. It looks considerably better now
This afternoon I took Rosie out for a walk, but we didn't get very far as she heard some "pop-gun" noises and ran home again.
We watched both episodes of 'Destination X' this evening, back to back, and enjoyed it. I thought the second place was easier to work out than the first, but perhaps it was just down to practice.
Take care, and keep going - small wins are better than nothing.
