Take a couple of printed copied on the day (and one copy of theirs) or your laptop & charger so you can follow what the judge says and hand him/her a printed copy.

Also take a crib sheet re Fairlie v Fenton and the Court of Appeal judgment in and Hancock v Promontoria, to point out the binding case law about redacted contracts.

My thread on using those 2 cases talks you through how a hearing went, almost word for word.

Get to court 40 mins early to get through security and sign in with the usher.

Well. 25 mins past the hearing time and ive yet to see the claimant representative in the waiting area.

Claimant rep never showed. Judge noted my submissions and wasnt overly bothered about them being late after i apologised. The claimant didnt notify of non attendance and didnt didnt request for the case to be heard on the merit of submitted documents. Case is struck out.

no, after they left me waiting for an hour hoping this other guy would show up i just wanted to head off and enjoy the sunshine tbh. The judge kept phoning through to the lady at reception to see if he had arrived, something i feel i wouldn't have been awarded the chance for if i was late tbh. She said if he has a good enough reason they could always file to continue it, but we most likely wont hear from them again and they've probably decided against attending due to the time/cost/chance of winning considerations.
