I did. Was on the phone for 45 min.

For anyone else facing these issues, they advise you not to use Chrome, but any other browser. I did so, while on the phone to them, still got nothing. Then I was given the following:

    For IT issues with MCOL:
    mcolITassistance@justice.gov.uk

    To acknowledge a claim (AOS):
    aos.ccbc@justice.gov.uk

To submit a defence or respond to a claim:
    claimresponse@justice.gov.uk

Going to do it via Email now.

Hello - IT developer with 15+ years' experience here. Firefox, Edge, Chrome are all based on the Chromium engine under the bonnet. AFAIK, Opera, Brave and Safari are based on something else.

Also, I'm sure the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has guidelines around user experience and site usability and those don't mention anything about restricting which browsers users should be using to access the site.

Sorry, but I get irked when companies/organisations say "oh, you need to use browser X to use our site".

Nobody else has reported this. I cannot see your screenshot. I reckon you are on the wrong page or something. Show us the screenshot with your data redacted.
I had the same issue last night and found this thread when looking for answers. I believe I used the same procedure when submitting the AOS on the 5/8/25, which appeared to have worked correctly, though this is my first time. I’ll call them on Monday.
After waiting nearly two hours to get through, the advisor said they had no idea the login wasn’t working and suggested I email my defence. They said they’d email me and I had to provide all the required info.

    I didn’t get an email.

You don't need that info and they keep telling people the wrong thing, such as in the thread that you found:

Sorry to ask: you're not putting your claim details in under 'search claim history' by mistake are you?

I hope you signed & dated that defence under a statement of truth & attached it as a PDF?

Yes: you are now going to follow the remaining 8 steps in the Template Defence thread.

Everything from the court arrives by post except for the Mediation email but don't read that because it tells you to do preparation that isn't required in a parking case.

    See our 8 steps!

No. Don't say it is irrelevant whether you were driving. That's how to completely pee off the judge! Listen: ADMIT TO DRIVING.

Your draft is good and certainly the Newham Council sign is an important defence point, yes. Is it double yellows or double red lines?

ONCE YOU HAVE DONE THE DEFENCE DO NOT DISAPPEAR!

If you want to make a difference to stop this utter scammery in future:

Stick around in August to take part in the Government's Public Consultation. We have an important thread about that and we need ALL Defendants to respond to the questions to shape the regulation of this rogue industry.

Please come back in a couple of weeks. Bookmark the thread on the Public Consultation. Go read it now, please. No link.

We need DRA fees completely banned and a proper ADR (single appeals service that isn't bent). That will keep cases out of court.
Don't forget the above this month (the vital Public Consultation on private parking) if you haven't done it yet. See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-8-weeks-from-11th-july-2025/p1

We need every poster to come back & complete this vital Consultation before the deadline! Just 2 weeks left but please don't rush it. You can do some then save it and come back to it as you have time.

And we understand that you may need some pointers.

I'm taking a closer look this week and we'll walk you through it. I should have all the first post 'how to respond to each question' advice ready by the end of this week.

There are vital points to safeguard motorists interests to make, that many people won't think of/need focus. There won't be a template - the survey is for you to reply in your words - but we'll help everyone with what to focus on.
