I am exhausted. After all the tidying etc. yesterday, I had to be up v. early, dressed and breakfasted ready for the window fitters who were due anytime between 8 and 8.30 this morning.
Also had to do lots of swish and swipe stuff, move this there that there, that out of the way so it's not tripped over that I hadn't done yesterday. Then there was the "oh, forgot to clean the kitchen sink - quick where's the flash and the micro fibre cloth?!!! type of stuff...
But, the two blokes were lovely and kind and did a cracking job... New windows are fabulously clean and look much better than the old ones which were 25 years old, wooden and beginning to rot!.
Then, of course, once they had finished, I had to put everything back on the window ledges where they normally reside. Of course, I took the opportunity of giving them all a good clean over before replacing.
Also had my new gardener visit today. She did a lovely job on the front garden in her two hours. She's now booked to do a couple of other two hour slots over the next month to sort out the rest....
I am so pooped now that I'm off to bed and it's not even 9.30pm but I don't care! Hope you all have a lovely (and longer!) evening xxx
I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Not as much achieved as I hoped today; still way too hot here although according to the weatherman, we may be in for some of the storms tonight - I certainly hope so.
Finished sorting and filing my drum music - now in 2 files (songs and exercises) arranged alphabetically. Way better than piles of paper.
Met a friend for coffee to exchange commiserations on our various health issues - hers being way worse than my shoulder.
Bought Mr N's birthday present.
Got a couple of things from Mr L.
Checked greenhouse.
About to set up payment for tax bill. Had hoped to complete tax return before that, but it is only part way through and I'd rather make sure I don't forget about the bill while I'm away.
Mr N has packed for hols; I've mentally packed..........Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.5 -
MorningCafe visit was as I expected, having never been there before, part trained staff / poor organisation/ and sadly from the owner lack of leadership basically she hadn't got a clue, but she had a wonderful lady who did know what she was doing and how to organise things, this lady is now shift supervisior
with all staff on shift reporting to her, this lady and I move some thing around, set staff new parimeters, and who did what and in what order, things seemed so much better.

Morning all.
Well done Kaz. Hopefully the business can thrive now.
Have a great holiday Narco.
Lots needing to be done here this weekend but once dailies and dog walk are out of the way I'm giving priority to making two cakes to put in the freezer ready for decorating on Monday and Tuesday.
Will try to report back later with flying.Spend less now, work less later.5 -
Morning all. It's all-over grey here today, and rain is forecast. So far it's just a very light drizzle, but I had planned to do washing. I might end up hanging it all up in the bathroom rather than outdoors.
I hope nobody is flooded out already/
I haven't done a lot of housework-type flying this end of the week, apart from the dailies, but I have finally managed to take the required photos and open a new bank account to replace the one from which the other bank is removing most of the benefits, grrr! I've also got a new SIM for my phone which will save me several ££ annually. I've re-done the family history research that I lost last weekend and it's ready to mail to N.
On Thursday DH and I took Rosie to a NT property in Herefordshire which we hadn't visited for some years, and enjoyed a guided tour of the revamped gardens. Yesterday was my goddaughter W's last day at primary school, and I joined the crowds at the school gate for the leavers' parade. Then DH had the last appointment of the day with his cardiologist, so I went along to add my three-pennyworth. The lovely consultant (very straight-speaking and reassuring, though there is little he can do for DH's condition apart from meds) made 2 changes to DH's prescription and endorsed travel to foreign parts as a Good Thing, so I am hoping that DH will take the hint and book us another holiday soon!
Narc0, I hope that your shoulder improves soon, and that you and MrN have a great holiday.
Enjoy the weekend, Flyfriends xxx4 -
Morning, I'm struggling a bit for motivation this morning as it's my first busy day this week, as I'm just back from holiday, but I need to get moving.
My list for today
Locate a suitable form of ID to collect the item from the post office
Collect delivery from the post office
Take DD to her horse riding lesson
Deal with Mr T delivery
Take DD to the stables so she can deal with her horse and work him for a bit (got a lot of cleaning tasks to do today) Only got some of the tasks done today, as it's far too wet.
Laundry x 5 loads 3rd load is in WM
Take the dog for a long walk if it stays dry and doesn't get too hot
Do some work in the garden if it stays dry, as it is badly overgrown Far to wet to do anything in the garden
Throw the used balloons in the bin which have been sitting in the bedroom for the last couple of months
Unpack holiday stuff and put clean stuff back in the drawers
Do a post on my freelance page as I need to start promoting things a bit more.
Make a start on organising my new diary, as I need to get organised, as hoping to do my PGDE whilst still doing my freelance work.
Start the back to school clothes shopping
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday/week. Hugs to those who want/need them.

Morning all
Stand to with SD yesterday as a large Yorkshire-based BSoc are ignoring the Grant of Probate and insisting the 4 executors appointed in the will sign paperwork so we needed him to sign. One is dead anyway…see sig. Took me over an hour to persuade/explain. He’s also not happy about reclaiming the deeds, which we have been advised to do and plans to ask a solicitor. He has trust issues. He’s also paranoid so no a good combination. Trouble is this all impacts me…I have a headache and i’ve had unpleasant dreams. They weren’t married but are Tenants in common and he can stay in the house if he wishes and at present he does. He’s shooting himselfin the foot because he’s alienating his step family .
Anyway I moved three pieces of furniture in my room, dusted them, vacuumed under them so half the room is spotless. Bed changed too. i’ll do the rest today.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Morning all xx
Grey and inclined to rain here. Incredibly humid. Horrible. Muggy.
I'm up, made my bed, wrote my list, put out fresh towels and tea towels, showered, washed my hair, shaved, moisturised, dressed, fed the birds, put out the rubbish and recycling, put new bin bags in bins, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in four, only managed two lines on Connections, supped two brews, and I'm now having a coffee.
Love to all
