Hello again,
Busy time (for me). I have new kitchen windows being fitted tomorrow. The kitchen is a big space with three outside walls and wooden windows on each wall which are now failing due to exposure to the elements over the years.
So, I've been doing the kitchen deep clean stuff over the last couple of days - particularly window ledges as they will need to be clear. Plus garden stuff as the fitters will be outside as well.
Also decided to deep-clean the bathroom just in case one of them is caught short...
Plus did finally send that email to various heads of whatever in the Council (and my MP) last night. Am waiting for the response, but I suspect it will take a while as they probably need to regroup...
Wishing you all a lovely evening xxx

Morning all xx
I'm up made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, didn't find any lines on Connections, read a few chapters of my book, and supped two brews.
Notalot of flying has been done this week. Lots of reading, some peopling, and far too much time spent mindlessly scrolling through my phone.
I have a hairdresser's appointment at 5. The rest of the day is mine. I do like not being at work. I think I'd be quite good at being retired. 19 more paydays 😉
I'll get dressed and then think what to do next. Something productive would be good.
Hope you are all well.

Walking doneKitchen sortedGeneral other stuff done, boringMouse cleared up.I'm off out in a bit to 'advise' a local cafe resturant, as to why their service is slow and they keep getting complaints..........haven't done this sort of work for years, but it shouldn't take too long to find the cause of the problem. (going to be lack of staff/ poor training / too much on the menu / lack of organisation with plates, crockery, cups etc / lack of leadership or something long those lines)Breast Cancer Now 100 miles October 2022 100 / 100miles

De-lurking to say hello 👋 still not much flying going on, doing what I can taking into account busy-ness, twot-ness and CBA-ness. Intending to have a mostly flying weekend ready for fresh start on Monday 🤞"I started out with nothing
And still got most of it left"

Today is not quite going to plan but so far I've:- taken a difficult phone call from someone very angry, and reached a compromise that will give us both what we want (not something I've ever managed to achieve before so I'm surprised and happy about the outcome);- walked the dog and realised the reason she was a complete mare with the dog-walker on Monday when she refused to go where all the other dogs were going by simply standing her ground, escaped from her harness twice and kept trying to make herself a den. She was clearly frightened this morning of a couple of kids so we crossed the road and carried on; turns out there were a couple of school groups doing litter picks. Wren was so anxious yesterfday Belovéd had to walk her so she skipped her walk with the dog walker. Texted dog-walker to clarify the problem. She can deal with anything as long as she knows the reason each dog has it's foible. She was busy trying to stop the dog that jumps up from jumping up on the kids, and another one which was trying to 'help' with the litter picking by nicking things;- waited in for a non-urgent call from the GP which came while I was dealing with the difficult one so I missed it and they didn't ring back. Not sure what happens next, despite ringing the surgery;- vacuumed my office;- cleared a massive hotspot that's been behind my ROD/office door for at least a year and worked out how to store all that stuff in the longer term so I can access it when I want it, find everything when I need it and know where to put it away when I've finished using it. Very happy about that;- had a great lunch;- finalised some details about a meet up with the retired and left managers and volunteer that I'm in a WhatsAp group with;- now on to dealing with some voluntary work so that I can take it back next week. What I haven't done is repot the broadbeans and do some tomato nurturing. Or sweep or wash the kitchen floor. I don't think I've ever completed a personal list, much less a Flylady one, but I have had a satisfying day so far so it's not all bad.Better is good enough.5

Hi all
I have been absent after a wonderful week on holiday then a tricky week returning to normality. I am now starting on the third HRT option after crippling anxiety, stomach problems and very dry eyes which led to a bit of an emotional phone call with my line manager on Tuesday. Deep breaths.
Flying today has been concentrating on getting all clean washing put away, the bed changed and upstairs tidied then dusted and hoovered as well as a trip to the supermarket and some paid stuff. Ready for the weekend now.
Well done with the difficult phone call HB sounds like you handled that very well. And Kaz hope the cafe visit went well, what an interesting thing to do.4 -
