Everything you need to know is in the second post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum by coupon mad, so I suggest that you carefully study it whilst waiting
You will receive excellent advice from here along the way, so come back to this thread when you need it1 -

But two things;
1. Promise us you won't post DCB Legal's template reply to your LBC response though? Search the forum for it. Don't post it!
2. If you want to be part of the push to change things in future, it's very important that people like you join us to reply to the new Public Consultation, to tell the Government that:
a) you have no faith in POPLA or the IAS and that there must be the SINGLE APPEALS SERVICE that the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019 *almost* promised. As long as it is independent (and only ONE appeals service, not two involved in a race to the bottom) that will give a real option to resolve disputed cases out of court. You haven't had that safeguard and the debt recovery forms only want money.
b). THAT THE ENRICHMENT OF 'DEBT RECOVERY FEES' MUST BE COMPLETELY BANNED. DISPUTED CASES ARE NOT SOLVED BY A THUG THIRD PARTY DEMANDING MORE MONEY AND ENGINEERING A POINTLESS 'PAYMENT PLAN'.
c). Tell them about your experience and how frightened this has made you. Make it clear how distressed you are by the idea of a court claim but you have no choice because you refuse to pay a useless scam DRA £170.
Responses are invited to the Consultation now:

Do it in August. Be with us. We will discuss responses on that thread in the coming fortnight.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

EssexGirlConfused said:Hi, I sent the template email to DCB Legal stating I needed another 30 days etc. That was 2 weeks ago but haven't had a reply (other then the instant auto reply to say they would get in touch) The 30 days are up on 2nd September so I'm not sure what I should do - if anything?EssexGirlConfused said:Update... just to let you know, the landowner has cancelled the ticket. They maintain and seemingly unilaterally pursue cases without any sign of real communication with clients and we have seen them issue court claims for cancelled PCNs.
And re the Public Consultation: if you have time and haven't done it yet, please do. It closes on Friday and the thread that I linked has been updated with (hopefully helpful) ideas to make the survey a smooth process.
Well done on winning your battle (as long as you swiftly stop DCB Legal from suing). Hope you can help us win the war.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
