And another update below.
Is it worth it to continue my communications with Everyone Active, or is it better to just wait for the court claim?
It feels very wrong that this guy just refused to escalate my complaint further within Everyone Active.
Can he do that? Should I just accept it, or is there something I can/should do?

While I understand you may not find our response satisfactory, that does not change the reality of our position. Suggesting we are acting in bad faith is both unfounded and unhelpful. What does the Land Registry say about who the landowner actually is ( because maybe its not the business )
The fact is that somebody signed the parking contract with Creative ( CEL ) , It takes 2 to tango
If it is the business, Everyone Active, or Hamble, then the complaint destination is correct
If its a different landlord or landowner, then redirect to them
Google states that the lease is with Eastleigh and Hampshire councils and Everyone Active
Seems to be an arms length operation, like an Almo, so IMHO, they are the leaseholder1 -
I think the contract is between Hamble Sports Complex (Everyone Active) and CEL.
The Hamble Sports Complex manager indicated that during a telephone conversation with me, and they are not denying that in their messages/replies.
So I understand my complaint destination is correct.
I understand there is no point complaining to the landowner as they don't contract with CEL.0 -
@Maa222 Hi. I've just read your thread. I am dealing with very similar issue here, at Everyone Active. The only difference is that I have two of these tickets, where clearly I put the registration into machine. I also take my kids swimming, just diffrent leasure centre, Hartham. My story is very similar. We have also moved recently. I tried to appeal the parking ticket, provided a ticket from the leasure centre, outlining the circumstances and they rejected it. Although they offered me a discount of £20. I've already stated in my appeal that I am happy to attend court and defend myself as I feel victimized by them.
I have also recently appear the second one. I am not expecting much. I didn't take it further. I am going to write to the manager of the centre and complain. I want to now who is responsible for their contract so I can complain to them. As I expect similar response to yours. I think it will be local council. I am also aware that there were loads of complains made to them, for the same reason. Its really unreasonable and unfair. So I will ask them for the information re the complains. The system is not set up reasonable and this is something I am going to take up, either with Council or the centre. If you are member of your local community, you can ask if anyone had similar issues and this could be part of your defence. I will write to the company who send me letters to inform them that I want to defend myself in court as I don't think I have been treated fairly and that I will be complaining about them to local Mp and the centre.

I am sorry that something similar is happening to you, and I hope we both will be able to resolve that soon. Unfortunately, I am not expecting much from Everyone Active. They seem very unreasonable, not caring for members and happy to enable the abuse. I plan to check other swimming pools within my reach and hopefully leave Everyone Active soon.
You state that the local council may be involved. Could you explain this in more detail, please? Isn't Everyone Active just a private company? How is the local council connected to this?

They definitely try to abuse and victimize us. No doubt about it.Also consider opening a thread about your case on this forum. The more informed motorists, the better.
