It's good practice to check your account regularly for anything you don't recognise.

We see people on here who are complaining about regular payments, that they have just noticed going from their accounts. Some of these have been running for years.

I once logged into my Halifax account in the middle of the night and found two fraudulent payments that had been made in Japan. I called their 24 hour line, my card was cancelled and a new one issued. The call centre operative was impressed at how quickly I spotted it.

With a big focus on mobile apps, rather than it being a bad thing, I'd say banks are encouraging people to log in and check their accounts as often as they like.

And for accounts that you don't often use, checking them might be a good way of preventing them from being marked as dormant.

I can never understand people like that. I keep a close eye on my account and check every single tranaction. With mobile apps that notify you every time there is a transaction there is no excuse whatsoever to not know about any transactions.

Same. I did use to wonder if a human ever looked what they'd think of my multiple logging ins and sometimes moving small amounts of money all over the place and back again. But it's usual behaviour for me so nothing to flag.
It would be a very long list for me. I've been known to log in and move amounts as low as 1p across! Sad, I know.  :'(
I do the same, I've gone as far as to discover that Darlington BS won't let you withdraw anything less than £1 if you try typing ``0." first but do if you type ``10." and then remove the 1.

Most of my transactions come either side of the month, I seldom have any money in EA accounts barring the occasional loss-leader (e.g. Santander Edge Saver) so I don't move much money between the second working day of the month and pay day (towards end of the month for me) unless a new regular saver is launched.

It's not uncommon for me to go a week or 2 in the middle of the month without logging into online banking or apps.

Sometimes I log into my account and it takes me 30 seconds or so to think what a transaction is. I’d say I review the majority of transactions.
