Logging into bank account every day?

I log in every day to move sufficient money to ensure I stay in credit (just). I can't see any reason why there would be a problem using the app for what it is designed for.sandyman80 said:Will logging into a bank account every day to check the balance throw up any red flags?Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Same. I did use to wonder if a human ever looked what they'd think of my multiple logging ins and sometimes moving small amounts of money all over the place and back again. But it's usual behaviour for me so nothing to flag.ButterCheese said:No. I do it everyday, or at least 5 times a week, sometimes mutliple times per day.Debt Free: 01/01/2020

It would be a very long list for me. I've been known to log in and move amounts as low as 1p across! Sad, I know.Jami74 said:Same. I have been logging in daily, often several times, over the last several years. I mostly use the apps, with biometric login. I doubt any bank will be remotely interested in how often I log in - though the fraud systems of some banks will notice fraudulent logins, such as a login one minute in the UK, and the next minute in Turkey1

Santander is trying to make everyone to log in every day by no longer allowing us to set up alerts whenever money comes into our accounts.0

Id say once a day is quite infrequent. I look a mine about 10 times a day on average probably, when I get up and whenever I buy anything, and in between to check various things. With an app it takes little longer than checking the time.1

The same as NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Ulster Bank, first direct, Lloyds, Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Kroo, Chase and probably other banks.Rob5342 said:
Why not move to Starling or Monzo, they have app notifications for all transactions.GeoffTF said:Santander is trying to make everyone to log in every day by no longer allowing us to set up alerts whenever money comes into our accounts.2 -

I think he probably means text alerts, which Santander used to offer until quite recently, rather than app notifications.steven141 said:The same as NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Ulster Bank, first direct, Lloyds, Bank of Scotland, Halifax, Kroo, Chase and probably other banks.1 -
Yes, I did mean text alerts, but Santander does not provide app alerts anyway. On the other hand, Santander lets me do £50K debit card payments and I can also do £100K Faster Payments over the phone. Chase would be a possibility, but moving would inevitably cause complications, and Santander is paying me handsomely to bank with them.danny13579 said:I think he probably means text alerts, which Santander used to offer until quite recently, rather than app notifications.1
