On this other ticket. I wasn't the driver (and haven't admitted to it being it) they've asked for the other drivers details. That person is a British national with assets here but lives in Australia full time, what is the risk to them? They also live in a mobile home with no fixed address. Either way I have asked for particulars which they have not provided and so I don't really want to provide the drivers details because as previously stated the claim is fraudulent and no evidence has been provided despite request. What is the play here? My last correspondence with them was how can there be a transfer of liability when there isn't a liability to begin with and no evidence provided. Also legally, I've read I'm in the clear even if the other person doesn't respond? What's the best course of action for me here and what's the best course of action for the driver? Cheers

    None.

Name the driver and give an Oz address for service. They must have some sort of postal address? Do it. Your liability then ends.

None what sorry? It is my ex partner who I'm still on very good terms with but don't want them to have to deal with the stress of this. I'm not even sure they do have a postal address as they are constantly driving from one place to the next. Do they need an address? Also what is the course of action for them at that point?

    I merely answered your question
and I even quoted you to make it clear!

"what is the risk to them?"

    Answer: None.

Obviously (if contacted) he/she just replies by email confirming they were was the driver but lives in Oz so they need to go swivel!

But there needs to be a postal address provided?

What is the minimum information that should be provided, just name and address? Because theyve asked for phone number and email as well.

Now if the other driver doesn't reply am I still in the clear?

And realistically what are the chances they'd pursue the person in Oz?

Thanks for your help so far and sorry for over clarifying things

"And realistically what are the chances they'd pursue the person in Oz?"

    I told you: none.

    Zero repercussions. Nada.

And I said there must be a postal address but this is already stated in Schedule 4 of POFA. It's nothing new or different.

Not if you give their name and a serviceable postal address. We've been doing this stuff for nearly two decades and I already said this, so not sure why you doubt me when I say:

    "Your liability then ends."

I'm not doubting, just seeking clarification. Because the other point was addressed but I didn't read that as being addressed. My own fault im sure.
