I need to start work on the next but one online shop. The next one comes on 16th. It has potato and cauliflower curry in it, spaghetti al limone and pesto.
My freezer is going to be very empty by the end of the month.

Hello everyone
I'm less concerned with the freezer and cupboards as I've been working those down recently, but definitely need to get the enormous amounts of tomatoes and raspberries used up (allotment glut). I have jam sugar for the raspberries, and tomato pasta planned for as many nights this week my son will eat it for (I'm going to guess 5, at least until he's away at camp at the weekend!!)
We have a few loaves of bread in the freezer courtesy of my lovely grandparents who volunteer at a food hub, so there might also be some garlic bread with the pasta too.
Cucumber recipes- what about sliced pickles? I'm sure I've seen a fridge pickle (maybe Riverford) made with sliced cucumbers.Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025

Cucumber banchan, I'm eating half a cucumber at each sitting.
1tbsp each of Korean pepper flakes, sugar, plum extract, soy sauce, garlic granules, rice vinegar. Mix together and with thinly sliced cucumber.Statement of Affairs (SOA) link: https://www.lemonfool.co.uk/financecalculators/soa.phpFor free, non-judgemental debt advice, try: Stepchange or National Debtline. I need to do my next but one Waitrose order but quite honestly too tired.
I will need to cook for the freezer so plenty of curries. Maybe some beige food as well for cheapness. I need to get some recipes out for curry as I only know two off the top of my head.
I got aubergine and spinach lasagna out of the freezer tonight. What a treat.
I also need to think about the odds and ends in the freezer. I have some stock in there. I can actually get it out to make risotto with. I better have a dig around and see what else is lurking in there.0 bonus saver

Beige food = bean burgers and chips or fake meat, for those who don’t know. I quite like hash browns as a carb as well.0 bonus saver

@itsthelittlethings Just popped back to say thanks for kicking this off. You've given me a burst of inspiration to get rotating old cupboard stock to perk up our garden gluts. Since seeing your post I've managed:
- French beans combined with the end of a bag of dessicated coconut and spices to make Sri Lankan green bean curry. Served with store cupboard rice.
- made 4 jars of pickled cuces using up some garlic infused vinegar I'd been given but never used (thanks @emsi_b for the idea)
- marinated cucumber salad (inspired by @kimwp). The end of a bottle of rice vinegar, soy sauce, the last sheet of nori toasted and crumbled on top, toasted sesame seeds, chilli flakes and a pinch of sugar. With leftover rice for lunch boxes.
- dog ends of cheese from the freezer mixed into an omelette and served with a huge pile of runner beans and half a jar of last year's beetroot relish.
- selection of garden greens turned into a stir fry with a random packet from the cupboard I've been too scared to use 😂
Thanks everyone - next gluts will be courgettes, spinach, rhubarb, and of course more beans!

You lucky thing, having a decent local market is something I really miss. English cherry season at the moment - short, but definitely sweet 😊. None to be found in my local supermarkets - not even Waitrose.
Very definitely glut season for courgettes - despite knowing I grow my own, my neighbour bought me her 'excess' yesterday - 6 of them! Fortunately I've developed a few favourite recipes that use a lot of courgettes...0 -
