Old Style Weight Loss Challenge - 3rd Quarter 2025

After one complete week in Q3, I can report a half pound loss.
I believe that, like diets in general, without the head realising the body now belongs to someone who thinks differently about what kind of person they are in relation to eating, the weight will go back on (generally plus some) when the jabs are discontinued.
I went from 13 st 13 lb to less than 9 st over a couple of years. I'm now 8 st 8 lb and have been at about that level for around 8 years.) The yo-yo experience had been mine until I discovered Paul McKenna's "I can make you thin". It is a book with CD. It is the consistent use of the CD which really works: the book probably tells you what you already know. It helped change how I shopped.6 -

Pixie_Cosmo said:I'm intrigued to see how the weightloss jabs situation unfolds. I think they must be amazing for people who need to lose a lot of weight for health reasons, but struggle to by dieting (for whatever reason).
I wonder how much support users get for learning new habits? Otherwise like most diets it'll all go back on again when they stop, like you say @Brambling, if they just go back to eating the same way. Are they expecting to stay on those jabs forever?
Nice to see a good start on the chart, keep it up guysLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin6 -
Ive heard talks of a pill version. If that takes off I could def see it as a long term solution for alot of people.
My mother is currently considering the injections as she is overweight and diabetic. Bless her, she doesnt even eat all that much, its just the older you get the less calories you need (which sucks as surely retirement would be the perfect time to sit around with tea and cake!!LOL).6 -
Hello
Is weigh day -3lbs please Brambling.
I also read about an eventual pill version and maintenance micro doses of the jab so you don’t come of it. It’s not for me though I did briefly consider it when I was struggling with menopause gain and it not budging.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025
