I'm now back to where I was on 1 July.  This means a half pound loss over last week and zero for the 8 lbs I wanted to lose.

@Pennypincin - Your friend claiming not to be bothered by your size.  To me that sounds like someone who is a friend and is saying your size is not what is important about you, it is the person inside who he is friends with.  If I said something along those lines to a friend, it wouldn't mean that I did care about the potential health effects of their size, simply I was their friend come what may.  However, because I have been so overweight myself, I would never press another person to eat what they didn't want.  Perhaps your friend has not been in that position themselves.

Enjoy your Slimming World session tomorrow.  (I've never been to that sort of dietary help but if it has helped you in the past, it can do so again.  Your anonymous contributions to this thread may also help as you can see your progress on Brambling's list.)

Give yourself a break @Brambling. There are some life events that just aren't conducive to weight loss and I'm fairly sure that major surgery is one of them.Take the time to get healthy and mobile again and maybe instead of focusing on weight loss concentrate on healthy food that will help you to recover?

Having said that I'm fairly sure that the only thing that got me through a c section and the first 6 weeks of motherhood (almost 21 years ago) was the regular bags of doughnuts that the late MrC was expected to fetch back home every time that he left the house 😄

During my Stockholm trip, I didn't worry about what I ate but walked over 100000 steps. Result STS.
