    At present the forums are working perfectly for me, just as they were before the problems started.

    I had just logged out and cleared cookies, logging back in choosing the 'only using essential cookies' option.  Not sure whether this has made a difference.

    Been ok for me the last few days with no issues on laptop

    Why do I keep on getting a RED warning that "SLOW DOWN - YOU ARE LOGGING IN TOO OFTEN"
    Every time that I log in to MSE ?
    Even when I haven't logged in since yesterday.... !!

    After a few days with no issue, it has taken me 15 minutes to be able to get in wthout an error 

    Gateway time-out

    The web server reported a gateway time-out error.


    • Error reference number: 504
    • Cloudflare Location: London

    What happened?

    The initial connection between Cloudflare's network and Vanilla timed out. As a result, the web page can not be displayed.

    What can I do to resolve this?

    Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem persists, you can contact the site owner to let them know you were unable to reach the website.

    While it was going on The Kinks song "Tired of waiting for you" was playing  which I thought was rather apt.

    Gone pear shaped again for me today as well. Before it was a bit slow, and now I’m getting the cloud flare issues. And back to verifying that I’m human, which had stopped.
    All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

    Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

    It was very slow this morning, 5 to 15 seconds per click but no gateway errors
    Now it's a constant gateway error
    Why can't this long running persistent problem be overcome? It gets patched up temporarily and reappears again
    Surely there can't be a different problem each time. There is an single underlying issue that seems never resolved
