🥵🥵🥵 I was wrong. Its not cooler. There is a fresh breeze which is now a warm breeze - but I've pegged out yesterday's washing and been baked by the sun. 🥵🥵🥵
Should all be dry in an hour. Then I'll peg out the towels. Rain isn't forecast til this afti. 🤞
Last night was the first time ever that I tried to sleep with the fan on in my bedroom. Got up and turned the fan off at 1.30 am. Bit cooler by then anyway. I think I'd been to sleep ... 🤔
Coffee next. Join.me?
Rxx
ETA Thank you HB 😘 It's been a while since I felt so discombobulated but it was a trying week. And the heat compounded everything. So I'm not going to beat myself up for being a wuss - well, not much anyway!IT ONLY TAKES SMALL DAILY ACTIONSFOR MAGIC TO HAPPENRosemary Ikpeme5 -
I joined you for coffee, Round. We have had gusty wind, a couple of showers, a bit of sun, a lot of grey. The temperature has dropped from the 31 degrees of yesterday so today has been more productive. However like spikeygran, I am cruising rather than flying. My guag / mojo / call it what you will has definitely departed on its hols. However, spurred on by Mr 0ct0pus’ free electricity hour, I have done a load of washing, made a tart for tonight’s dinner, and a cake for the tin. This morning I s&s the bathroom and vacuumed downstairs, so cleaning cloths are washed and the Dys0n has now charged.Enjoy your séjour in France, HB.5

I'm sorry to hear aobut all the on-off ops @roundtuit what a nightmare for you both. I hope he can hace it done soon. He's pretty amazing though to be dischargted and go straight to a dance - and on the hottest day of the year. I was reading today that Gen Z find full-time working too much to cope with and it's causing them mental health problems. How much more resilient are earlier generations.Congrats to your daughter @Fayolle. What did she read at university?@Honey_Bear whilst I can understand people wanting to know what the accomodation looks like, we didn't used to know that did we, as it wasn't really technically possible. I suppose that most people are taking picurtes and posting them left, right and centre so it seems like nothing at all to them. Ultimately though, it's your home and if you don't want to do that then that's your prerogative. One of the few good things about being older is that often you are happier about doing things according to your own principles and beliefs and not worrying about what others say or think. No flying done here for the last 2 days beyond washing up and S&S'ing - it's been too hot. It's cooler today but now, late afternoon, it's still quite warm. On the recommendation of a friend I bought two neck fans but yesterday, at least, they were not effective as they don't cool the air (which I mistakenly thought that they did) so it's pushing warm air around your neck and face. Maybe in less extreme heat they might be more effective but I'm sending one back.A has come off his new pain medication as he couldn't cope with the side effects. Another med has been changed back to one he was on before as the one they changed it to has made his tremor worse he believes. He is making almost no prgress with his CPAP machine but on the other hand I have been less disturbed by his snoring, so either he is snoring less or I haven't woken up when he does.My nose swelled up on Thursday evening and was quite red, and weeping from the side. I rang the surgery on Friday morning and they said they had had a cancellation and could I come in half an hour. I rushed to get ready and saw a nice young GP who wasn't sure what it was but opined that it might be the result of an insect bite. She prescribed some steroid cream and it is now much better. I also have one small and one larger (about the size of a penny) patch of very red skin on my leg. I wonder if they are also the result of a bite. I am applying the cream to those too so hopefully they will clear up soon.5

Do you make your own pastry, or perhaps but the ready made? I was thinking of changin it to individual tarts and using filo pastry.6

Wren's bag is packed, her food has been adjusted again (she's changing to yet another new food), my bag is packed, and I've spent the rest of the day changing passwords. I thought changing my email adress on line was bad enough but this is taking f o r e v e r. I've realised that I should just delete a whole load of accounts to, so I'll do that after this marathon as been run.Shower, change and then we're off!Better is good enough.5
