Thinking of you, round and Pops, and hoping that things are better today xx xx
Glad to hear you’re feeling better and getting out again, Natty xx
We had a splendid meal last night in a family-run restaurant, where our lovely waitress was the spitting image of Julie Walters (the Two Soups sketch) 🤣🤣🤣. Before we left, we booked a table there for this evening too - really looking forward to it 😍.
My “load of laundry” has almost dried overnight and is now hung out in the sun on our balcony. It will easily be fully dry by the time we’ve had breakfast.
DH’s non-replaced hip appears to be crumbling under the strain of so much walking (I did warn him) so we are taking a hop on/off tourist bus round the area today, having discovered a stop near here.Xxx5 -
Morning all xx
I don't know where I was up to with the Pops saga. I can't keep up. It seems to change hourly some days. Anyhoo. The latest is they're planning to remove the gall bladder not just the stones and if they don't operate today, they'll discharge him and send for him at a later date 🤦♀️ So I'm on dispatch alert - (Pops word for discharge.) And if they send him home today he's going to the c&w dance tonight!
Twot. Twot. Twot. Not conducive to sleep. Zombie mode this morning. Maybe another brew will wake me up.
I'm finding my listing To Dos on A4 in pencil on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and then crossing off as I go is freeing up brain cells. Anything I need to remember through the rest of the week gets added and crossed off as appropriate. Been a boon this week: Pops - clean undies tick, Pops - brown shaver tick - it turned out to be black but 🤷♀️ Not a lot of flying other than the Saturdailies - but I'm hoping that will change when life is the right way up again.
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, and supped my first brew. Second brew and today's list is next.
Keep cool. Stay hydrated. A shallow dish of water put out in the garden will be appreciated by any passing wildlife.
Hugs
Rxx

I’m hearing you, Round. Twot, twot, twot. Very little sleep last night except obviously when the milkman came just after midnight, so I didn’t rescue the milk from the overnight warmth until this morning. The little insulated box stands no chance in this weather. One load washed and dried already. We had..oohhh..maybe 10 drops of rain just now. I went to the allotment earlyish and watered as I cba last night after watering the greenhouse and trugs at home. I have picked and dug some veg for dinner, including our first new potatoes, and a bunch of flowers picked for the kitchen. I have lots to do, but seriously, in this mugginess?? Full of admiration for Pops even considering a c&w dance!4

Good afternoon, It's a late post from me as I have been at the stables most of the day with DD as her new horse arrived this morning.
My list for the rest of the day
Wash up with dishes, dry and put them away
Laundry x 3 loads
Sort through my email account and deal with anything required
Update the diary and make sure that everything is scheduled
Check volunteer emails and deal with anything required
Print off the coursework for next week
Finish off the maths coursework from this week.
Take DD back to the stables to check on the horse
Write the supporting statement for a job that I'm applying for
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Saturday/weekend

Had enough now.
Pops phoned me this morning to say that the operation was cancelled again and he was being discharged, but he'd spoken to my DB, who was driving home from Norfolk this morning and DB was going to pick him up. However, if DB was delayed, could Pops still ring me? 🤬
So, cancel my previously made plans to pick him up. But don't cancel them because he might still need me. 🤬
I had a meltdown. NOT on the phone to Pops obviously. I'm hot. I'm tired. I'm emotionally drained from the yoyoing all week. I'm mentally and physically exhausted from meeting myself coming back this week. And that just put the tin hat on it!
Only it turned out that DB hadn't a clue that Pops was being discharged today. The last he'd heard before setting off for home was the operation was still going ahead.
So, when DB came to collect his key ( which I still had from feeding Poppy) we had a very confusing conversation. The end result of which is that Pops is perhaps not as compos mentis as he seems to be. Or he doesn't listen. Or doesn't hear. Or a combination thereof.
My top line of emoji is: 🤬🥵😭🤷♀️🤪🤯🤦♀️💩 - which I'd say sums up this week quite well.
Second load of washing has finished swishing. I haven't pegged out as it looks like rain. So I'll drape that over the airer. It probably won't rain but I am now in the realm of cba...with a hefty dose of I'm going to run away to Scotland fast approaching.
And breathe....🧘♀️🧘♀️🧘♀️ ommmmmm.
Anyone else fancy a trip to Scotland? West Coast? One of the islands? We can dig out the flylady bus and have a jolly?
I'm hoping normal service will be resumed but until then I'll be in the back garden with my unicorn 🦄

@roundtuit sending a hug. I'm not surprised if Pops is a bit confused with all this on/off/ change the op routine. Its not good to keep fasting an elderly chap it must knock it out of him. What a state our NHS is in.I'm still just doing the basics here, kitchen, WM, DW and a bit of FUPA. I think I've moved from flying to just coasting
I'm still quite busy outside. The trouble is I keep finding extra jobs to do that are really annoying me (ones that have been lost on DH to do list since last year), and the house is getting further behind. We have masses of huge strawberries and the first raspberries are coming in too. I meant to cut rhubarb today but didn't get to it.
We seem to have 5 or 6 wasp nests so far and FIL (next door) has one as well. The sparrow terrace (6 holes) has at least 3 it seems and the sparrows never liked it so going to get it down. I went out last night with good padded clothing, wellies, rubber gloves and my peak cap and midge net cagoule over the lot, to protect my face and foamed all 6 holes, without incident.DH went out tonight and powdered FIL's garage nest, the one in the porch eves and one one the flat roof. Of course he went up there with the thinnest of tops, no hat, point blank refused the net, then wondered why he got stung, luckily it was only on the forearm and not his face. Hes OK, I have anthisan in the house but not feeling especially sympathetic.@Fayolle Congratulations to DD.7 -
Morning all xx
It's a cooler morning. Yayyyy.
And I feel nearly hoooman. Yayyyyy.
Thank you @Spikeygran - your hug was received and much appreciated. 🤗
DB fetched Pops home at 7.30 pm. Pops immediately got changed and went out to his regular Saturday night country and western night. DB and I were laid in front of fans in our respective homes. 🥵
So. I'm hoping this week will be boring, uneventful, cool, all those calm words. 😊
I'm up, made my bed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, completed Strands with no hints, completed Wordle in three, only managed one line in Connections, and I'm supping my first brew.
To Do Today List includes:
Wash towels and tea towels
WUDUPA
Write shopping list
Feed the birds
Put out the recycling
Take Father's Day presents to Pops
Phone S at 11
Brew 2 and get dressed first though.
Love to all.

Huge congratulations to Miss Fayolle on her magnificent achievement, and I'm sorry I neglected to say that earlier this week.Well done for refinding your equilibrium in extremely trying circumstances Round.Strands with no hints or much effort this morning, two lines on Connections and Wordle in four.Have vacuumed the top layer because a certain dog helped herself to some dog chocolate in the newly cleaned out litter tray which both cats find irresistable and that means a generous spreading of wood-shavings everywhere. I meant to do it yesterday but the combination of not enough sleep and the heat meant I was h'ors de combat all day yet again. Other than that I achieved very little indeed, which is seriously annoying as we're off to France for 24 hours this evening and there's always a lot to do for that.So today will be busy.Better is good enough.4

Clear the rest of the gravel from the area we are making into a patio
Get DH to go and pick up the artificial grass for the patio area
Laundry x 2 loads
HHI
Sort through my email account and deal with anything required
Check volunteer emails and deal with anything required
Take DD back to the stables to check on the horse
Sort bags, lunches etc for tomorrow
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Morning all. Lovely and cooler here today too.
Yesterday I went to a village event in the church which was lovely and cool. In the afternoon we were building our new bed and rearranging the bedroom. Still more to do as our new dressing table is delayed. Hoping it will turn up today. Obviously the house was disrupted again and hoovering right through was required.
Today I have taken Poppet for a walk, done dailies, spent an hour tidying front garden and have just helped DH take our old bed frame to bits. Fortunately he'll be abl3 to reuse most of it so only one sack of fabric for the tip.
Today there is a fundraiser in the park next to our house. It started at eight this morning and goes on till eleven tonight. I'm planning to meet family there for the afternoon.
Right, better do some more flying.
Spend less now, work less later.6
