Hello,
Sliding back in after a hectic week of back to back visiting. Thanks to the intended routes and the diversions due to accidents etc, I think I waved at many flyladies in the North, East Midlands (Chesterfield ring road? Tick), Hertfordshire, London and the West. Lovely time had with friends, DSiL and DD (proud mama day today as she got the results of her degree - 1st Class Honours).
Flying has been very much on the - ahem - back burner. I have gone for redemption today, by changing and washing the bedding, dusting and vacuuming upstairs. Mr M is delivering later.Huge congratulations to Valli on your hospital result.
Thinking of Round and Pops.
Kaz - it turns out I am human too! The pigeons, blackbirds, slugs and other culprits (not ruling out deer and rabbits at the allotment) have devoured my sunflowers, sugar snaps, dahlias, blackcurrants and gooseberries, even the alpine strawberries which they usually leave alone.
Hugs, sticks and spoons as needed to everyone else, as well as keeping cool vibes. It’s twot by half here.5 -
The site is defo having a wobble as I had to verify I'm human too. Fingers crossed the techies at MSETowers have got this.Glad to hear the funeral went well Valli; and the hotel is interesting Ionafan. i hope Round Pop's op goes smoothly. Sorry about your sunflowers Kazwookie.I have tidied around and taken and sent photographs as requested by a prospective lodger. That request tells me quite a lot about the person who is looking for accommodation (the Instagram generatio) and while I understand it, it's beyond irritating. The house is beautiful architecturally and we like the way it's decorated but not once in the past 10 years has anyone who has aked for photos actually booked the accommodation. Those that actually stay here love it and come back time after time, and recommend us. We'll see about this one, and if she doesn't book I'm seriously tempted to just say No to photos in the future or hold off saying what the cost is until after the photo request, in which case the accommodation will cost them more. They can pay for the faff.Have set the alarm to remind me to pick up Belovéd from the station, put the shopping list out as a couple of freebies from Mr L expire today, and I've done a fair amount of work in the front, communal garden. I need to get me a into gear and do some potting up and sowing of seeds at the back. And probably some watering. It's hot.Forgot to hit Post Comment earlier, so I'll do it now.Better is good enough.5

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and comments xx It means a lot ❤
After being nil by mouth all day Pops has been told that the operation won't go ahead today. So it's nil by mouth again tomorrow. I'm assuming they'll feed and water him this evening! So. Another day on tenterhooks for everyone again tomorrow. And breathe...
I made my bed, fed the birds, put out the recycling, showered, dressed and went to the paid stuff. I've put the bins out to be emptied tomorrow, refilled the birdbath and paid the rent.
Congratulations to Fayolle's DD. 🥳🥳
Love, hugs, spoons and sticks available- help yourselves.

HoneyBear I am shocked…great idea to charge extra. I mean the location alone should suffice. Wow.
Well done Miss Fayolle

Good morning,
I'm posting slightly later today, but it's been a busy morning so far. I've done 10 minutes on the exercise bike, taken a shower, got dressed, made all the beds, and completed the required paid work.
My list for the rest of the day is
Do the maths coursework that is scheduled for today
Do the English coursework that is scheduled for today
Sweep the kitchen floor
Empty the bathroom bin
Polish the mirrors
Dust the living room
Hoover the living room
Wash up and dry dishes
Deweb downstairs of the house
Look for DD's bracelet. I got her a horse bracelet for her birthday, but I couldn't find it.
Remind DD to take the dog for a walk once it's a bit cooler
Go and look at a horse, as we are hoping to get DD a horse, although it will be shared with me once my legs are better.
Discuss with DH regarding the projects we are working on at the weekend (sorting patio area ready for the furniture coming next Friday, tidying up the garden and putting together a price list for preparing the kitchen for DW.
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Thursday.

I would like to say morning, but I figure that by the time that I have typed it will be afternoon…
Bathroom cleaned, shiny bits have been shined in there and around the house. Kitchen given a s&s. Lunch is prepped (salad, what else?) as DSis is on her way. With all her houseplants for me to look after while they go away. As long as she doesn’t expect them all to still be alive when she returns, it will be fine.
Thank you for your good wishes for DD, she is completely over the moon, especially with everything else that has gone awry for her over the past few years.
Thinking about Round and Pops x5 -
Valli so pleased you have been discharged, I bet you are so pleased. Also glad the funeral went ok, although is glad the right word to use..hmm m
Round hope Pops has his operation soon and he isn't nil by mouth too long. It must be horrible for him at the moment.
Hugs to anyone else I've missed that have had things happening.
I want to explain why I've been absent so much now. When I went to the hospital for my hysteroscopy they found a couple of things. So they did a hysterectomy, which I was warned about. So I've been on rest and not allowed to do anything too strenuous for a while. It knocked me for six which I wasn't expecting as I thought I could handle it.
Anyway I'm allowed to do a couple of things now like go for walks along the beach. But D has to drive me everywhere now till I can drive myself. So we thought we would treat ourselves to fish and chips on the prom by the beach for lunch today. 🙂Mortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

My big achievement for today is that I managed to find DD's bracelet that was meant for her birthday last week, so she now has the last of her birthday presents.5
