Morning all xx
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast and I'm supping my brew.
DSil is home so I'm no longer on Poppy feeding duty.
I went to visit Pops last night. Change of plan: no endoscopy needed as MRI revealed that his gall bladder is full of stones and two stones have migrated and got stuck in tubes. They've offered him an operation which he says he's going to have - I don't know what they've said to him but he told me where to find his will! And breathe....I guess at 90 years old and with COPD they've spelled out the risks. He has capacity and has most probably said that he doesn't want me involved - par for the course.
I'll feed the birds, top up the bird bath, and put out the recycling before I head out to the paid stuff. Not sure that I'm fit for purpose as my head is a shed but I'll give it a go. 🤪
Stay hydrated.
Love to all.

Fingers crossed for Pops, Round.
Funeral went well. The cousin of mums (second cousin) came from Hartlepool…didn’t stay for the wake but I was very touched she and her partner made the effort…
No flying done, apart from washing on line.

Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Morning all. Some plans cancelled today so flying will be done even though I'll still go to exercise class later.
So far today I have watered greenhouse and back garden, changed sofa throws (the others are now drying outside), caught up with banking and admin, and s&sd kitchen.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
@roundtuit - sending Pops hugs and prayers for a speedy recovery. My brother in law had gallstones while he had boarded a plane for Hawaii and they had to take him off of the plane. My sister got off to of course - and their luggage just made a round trip. Had to get it the next day. He had surgery and really restricts his diet now. So your father may have to make some changes in what he is eating. Good luck helping with that.8

Get well soon Pops x
Nothing much to report here. Busy day at the paid stuff but all clean washing has been put away and our bedroom dusted and hoovered. Curry out of the freezer for tea, a little bit of tidying to do in the kitchen before bed.
Oh and I did 30 minutes of strength training very early this morning. Pleased with that.

Sorry to hear that Pops needs an op - love and prayers to him and to you, round.
Not much flying done today, but lots of trains, and i washed up the plastic box which had had some fruit in it.
ive never before stayed in a hotel room where a Marshall amp is provided and you can borrow a guitar from the bar!!! 🤣🤣🤣6 -
@Valli I'm glad it went well yesterday. Its nice that relatives were there to support you.@roundtuit poor Pops.
Thats a lot to go through at his age. But I'm guessing the complications from leaving them would be worse, at best unpredictable. He probably feels more in control this way?
I managed the basics indoors again, wiith DW, WM and FUPA from yesterdays wash. Though I did get the 2 quilt covers ironed and some other bits so getting 2 🐸 off the list feels nice. I also got a bag down from the spare room storage cupboard, threw an old sleeping bag out, vacuumed the shelf and ran a wet cloth over it. Theres more in that cupboard to sort out, I have spare bedding up there in vacuum bags but it rarely gets used. When youngest comes up they book a cottage - they like their own space, its easier for me too. Its not like the old days where children had camp beds or 2 arm chairs pushed together. OH ran the vacuum round so went around afterwards and did the edges. I did more than I thought it seems.I was doing some more in the potting shed and got the windows washed, its amazing how much extra light there is in there now. I've got a bit more throwing away to do. and the clean pots to stow. I have an old metal 4 drawer filing cabinet in there, and its perfect for stacks of pots, totally dry and mouseproof, so good for open packets too. I can move about in there now, so back in use.I did homemade quarter pounders, (with 5% fat steak mince) for dinner and managed to freeze half for another day. I stopped buying bought burgers a few years back, even the good makes seem tasteless these days.

Morning, I'm slightly late starting today, but I'm not feeling great. A horsefly has bitten me and I currently have a rather large blister on my ankle, so now I've got two sore legs, although my knee is getting better and I have a doc appointment next week.
My list for today
Try and do 10 minutes on the exercise bike
Do paid stuff
Complete and read over the presentation for the interview this afternoon
Do the maths coursework that is scheduled for today
Do the English coursework that is scheduled for today
Attend the uni interview
Sweep the kitchen floor
Empty the bathroom bin
Polish the mirrors
Dust the living room
Hoover the living room
Wash up and dry dishes
Deweb downstairs of the house
Remind DD to take the dog for a walk and tag along if my legs feel complaint
Take DD to the stables
I think that is everything that I need to tackle today. I hope everyone has a lovely Wednesday and hugs to those who want/need them.
