Memory girl I am loving your thread, it is very inspirational. I love the bit in your original post about 365 days of mini goals will change your families life beyond recognition in 2008, I'm are there are lots of people, myself included, who can learn a little bit from that.
Take care of yourself and you little ones and good luck with your challenge.:TI like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
Great to see you back again, Memorygirl.
Technology - like men, eh!- can't live with it and can't live without it!!
How're the squares coming along for that blanket? Hope you managed to get loads done while your comp was out of action :rotfl: .
Good luck with the freecycle stuff - wish I could have talked my daughter into trying there when she was pregnant recently. Unfortunately I just can't get her motivated into OS - maybe one day............ - I'll live in hopes  .0 -

Hi Memory Girl
You have inspired me - no bumps due here though although i can wish but bf has said No to anymore - the classic 'well i already have two'.... arguement!
Im glad to hear your ok - when i started reading the where is she posts i got a bit concerned - i would like to join you on your make do or mend challenge because i think this year any form of saving, making do , or mending will financially help us out a heap. Me and bf decided this is the year of really making a substancial dent in his debt! He has about £10k of it so we are hopign to get at least teh smaller one gone (£1220) and then start on the other next lowest one - so im hoping you'll inspire me no end.
Also to add - if its needed - i have a baby moses basket that is looking for a loving home - id be happy to mail it to you. (I know im in south wales but every little helps)
I was lucky enoguh to have lots of people have babies jsut before me so ended up with about 4 black bin bags chocked full fo baby stuff when i had my little one - hes now 3 and in school so i have some free time to look at money making!Time to find me again0 -
Hey Memory Girl,
I just wanted to say how much you have inspired me and made me realise that I don't need all the new things around me. Thank you so much for sharing your journey and I wait with bated breath so see how you are getting on :T

MG just a quick note to let you know that I sent the nappies today, I managed to relanolise the wraps for you. I was missing 2 18month wraps, but if they turn up I'll send them on. There should be enough to just about see you through from birth to potty with the wool wraps you're planning on knitting. The shaped pads are sized newborn but will also be useful as a nighttime booster if he's a heavy wetter. I'll see if I can find a link to show you how to fold them to deal with different poo's etc.
Good luck & I hope you find them useful. Oh, and you can buy lanolin from Underthegooseberry really cheap, small tub, lasts ages.0 -
Just thought I'd give this thread a bump. We seem to have lost memorygirl again. I guess she's busy getting ready for the move.
