Having ignored all the letters from Trace Debt Recovery, it seems the process has escalated further. Today I received a text message from "Moorside", see image attached. This was auto-flagged as spam, but I received a notification from my phone about it. It seems I was sent a message previously on Nov 6th, but I wasn't notified of that one so had missed it. They suggest they have recently written to me, but this is the first instance I have been made aware of them.

Can any Forumites advise? (I'm hoping Coupon-mad as you have kindly stuck with me throughout this) Is this more scare tactics or are they now gearing up for a CCJ?

No , not a CCJ, but Moorside Legal should be sending you a Letter of Claim in the post giving you 30 days notice, so watch out for it dropping through your letterbox , on behalf of the claimant private parking company,  RCP

Eventually you may get a Money Claim in the post, not a CCJ

If I'm sent a Letter of Claim, should I acknowledge it?

Search the forum for Moorside Legal to read how these claims pan out. No worries!

As anticipated, LBC received in the post today, (17th Nov) even though the letter is dated 8th Nov.

Having taken on board instructions in post 2 in the newbies sticky, I will now respond via email to Moorside with the 'robust' reply.

Any further suggestions to what information I should add to my reply? Do I mention any of the backstory? I legitimately paid for parking both days, I failed to notice a 'keying error' (payment app auto-filled old old vehicle reg). RCP Parking are not out of pocket in any way.

Thanks in advance as always to everyone who kindly gives advice in this thread.

LBC responses are already written for you in post 2 of the NEWBIES thread and also in the official MSE Guide (see link top of page).
