I keep a few nutmegs in a jar and grate it as and when I need it, use the part of your cheese grater with the fine round holes.I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards.
