The only costs they accrued were because they tried to scam you.1

What I am wondering is...why did parking eye say...if you appeal it goes up to £60 on whatsapp
did they mean...if you appeal and lose?
This is after the client has instructed them to cancel it and they've changed it to £20, website shows £20.1 -
They are trying to put you off appealing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That's what ParkibgEye are operating ... A PONZI SCEME FOR THEIR OWN BENEFIT
REMEMBER. THEY ARE PART OF THE BPA MONEY SCAMMERS1 -
Exactly
and I would say to anybody reading this that some posters (minority) side with the parking company for whatever reason which I've seen a few of them online.... example on Reddit...
I won't link the actual thread but there was a perfectly legitimate case and I've seen all the evidence but
there was some random person coming between posting nonsense, like..." I had the same situation and I went to court and it affected me and I've got a CCJ & costs"
and I sat there and I thought this has gotta be part of their unit.100%
Yes exactly if a client has advised somebody to cancel the fine and you have not and still want £20 for no good reason when the final was not legitimate in the first place and then you say to me if you were App appeal it will go back up to 60.... my response is going to be
I want to go to POPLA... do what you have to.
Also, I will be speaking to the head office about this situation because at the end of the day they are using this company in their pub car park so it's not as if they are completely innocent...
Somebody said they may offer to pay it will provide vouchers or something. I'm like
it doesn't need to turn into a drama.
think about the amount of people that are getting caught out and not posting it not everybody posts these things...
I remember googling the Milton Keynes tenpin situation!
I was just not aware that these kind of things are still going on because I just have not had a ticket in nearly 10 years.
I'm just hoping that it cost the money to look into the appeal and then to counteract the appeal with POPLA.
That would give me great satisfaction.0 -

They totally ignored the famous Supreme court decision in the ParkingEye v Barry Beavis case
The judges ruled that the parking charge was set to cover the cost of operating the scheme, no add-on rubbish
In your case, POPLA should agree with you and that will be it. If not, PE may well persue the £60 and that's when they pass it to a legal who will also add the fake amount.
There is only a few so called legals who play the monopoly money game. They are nothing to worry about.
A few years ago one BPA member was banned by the DVLA for doctoring pictures, a mega scam which attracted a month ban
No wonder the parking industry is known as a money scam
So, you will not be paying PE £20, let's see what happens next

Oh ok. well I didnt know al of this.
II think this shows everybody why there is so much information on this website another website about this situation.
They just bank on people getting nervous and scared and paying the amount to just wipe out the situation mentally
so a lot of people will have paid this by having fear induced in them and they would've paid charges that wouldn't have stood up.
I do think in my situation after speaking to the head office of the pub today, they did say they immediately logged in and cancelled it. They transferred me to another guy about the £20 and he literally said they don't own the land but they manage it.
He said he will try to get the amount cancelled and said because nobody has looked into the ticket the parking company are trying to recover some of the costs. The actual pub he's been very helpful to be honest because they cancelled it straight away without discussion.
It's got nothing to do with the amount , its the principle.
It's good to educate myself about this like I said I have another ticket in so many years nobody really sits and research this stuff until it happens to them.... but I think they played on the five minute rule as soon as it went over five minutes the camera issued a ticket.
But I'm sure it will cost them time and money to look at the appeal internally and time and money to look at the appeal with POPLA.... I'm sure that will be more than £20.
That's what I'm hoping.

It's been cancelled by the pubs head office. There is NO MORE £60
It will not go to court for £20. If it did, a judge would spank them and could award you costs1 -

That's what I'm hoping. We went through something a while back with London Transport and had the mindset that even if we lost, going through the appeals avenues would've cost them more than they would have made from the proceedings. However, their case was based on a lack of understanding of the law and they lost at a tribunal.I learned from the process and they wasted their time, effort, and money in persisting.2
