Travelled over to in laws and then ferried her for planned minor surgery back out to Hosp and then back home and stayed the day.
Kindly treated to a Chinese takeaway for dinner
A long journey home but no travel issues this time.
Washing to the line in what looks like the only opportunity this week looking at the forecast
I went through the freezer a couple of free drawers now and meal planned from it.
Tonight is keema curry with some rice and small chips as I fancied chips.
Sat in the garden with a cuppa and read a bit more.
We took Rhubarb and Custard for a local walk to a place I thought would be out in bloom, it was lovely to see the wildlife, but it was very lacking in flowers apparently due to woodland management.
I placed the ferret food order, and she kindly phoned to confirm.
We’ve listed a few more things for sale.
Tonight is chop and veg for dinner, DH can have potatoes with it, but I’m happy with the veg as I’m being a bit diet cautious

Parcel has been collected, and I've done three more bags of mulch. It's too cold and windy to make doing any of the other outside tasks attractive.

Dragged myself out before it got dark and did the last bits of wire on the fence for two climbers (which I will introduce to the wire tomorrow). I've got one vine eye and about 18 inches of wire left, so am very pleased with myself. The wire isn't particularly well done, and certainly doesn't look beautiful, but once everything has grown up no one will notice (except the fence, which might collapse under the weight of the climbers!)3

Blackcats said:@rachmac3 - sorry about your chicken.
well I'm sneaking my leftover May tasks into June and hoping no-one notices 😎
however, progress has been made because I've printed out the financial and health & welfare power of attorney forms for myself and MrBC. We can collect our first signatures this week. I feel reassured now I've read the instructions as I know what I'm doing and who is doing what in the process.
As I've fessed up to previously I really dislike filing so today I'm going to file, shred and clear my paperwork tray ready for a fresh start in June.

Had to take the morning off for a funeral, so used the time between coming home and heading out to work to pick through the mound of 'stuff' that had accrued in the conservatory into:
- Books for friend to give to her chapel (I was careful about the subjects - all Buddhist and Vedic books got diverted!)
- Books, clothes and other bits for Hospice shop
- Pile of books in good enough condition to sell.
I will attempt to do the pricing up on the books this evening.
Hospice shop is open for donations on Friday afternoon so I will be loading the car tomorrow evening!
Feeling pleased that this is moving at last, as this is another job that has been 'stuck' for a loooong time ...

One OAT done yesterday - hairdresser has confirmed when she will be going on maternity leave and for how long (all being well, of course). I have one more appointment with her and will then have to decide where to go until she returns. I could stay at the salon where she rents a chair or look for an alternative.
Another OAT started today - I've cut out the fabric I need for the new cushion covers and plan to sew them up by the end of the weekend.Be kind to others and to yourself too.3 -
Got a charity shop bag together and will take it tomorrow. Place looks tidier already3

Finally took a little clock to the useful man's shop to get the battery changed for my mum.
No idea why this had become an OAT, it's just down the road and a quick process. I suppose sometimes you just don't have the bandwidth to think about extra things, but the things will be tackled, they will dammit! 😁5
