have you double checked the card is not a replacement for the joint account rather than a new debit card for a new current account? It should have the sort code & account number on it to confirm.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Budgeting & Bank Accounts, Credit Cards, Credit File & Ratings and Energy boards. Sounds like you need to check the card details.35har1old said:Made a debit card payment with a new DC but transaction was not debited from the account associated with the card

If you have the Halifax app then you can see your cards and the account on which they operate.Dobbibill said:have you double checked the card is not a replacement for the joint account rather than a new debit card for a new current account? App doesn't give you sort code & account number.
Haven't received physical card yet
But app said ready for use0 -
The app doesn't serpepate the cards into which one belongs to any particular account.flaneurs_lobster said:

When you click on manage cards the first card to come up is the new card.
If you go to the statement for that account and select manage cards the result is the same
Go to any account and select same result0 -

Go to any account and select same result
then Card Freezes and limits
The account and sort code are shown under the card
Not exactly obvious....2 -
I opened a new Reward account and am waiting for the physical card to arrive. I clicked on Manage Cards and there was a card marked New. I used the details to transfer £250. Unfortunately, it turned out that a debit card for a different account is expiring and the card marked New must be a replacement for that and not for the new account. The transaction took me into overdraft but fortunately I found out right away and moved funds in to cover it or I would have lost the Reward. The account details really need to be shown on the same screen to avoid confusion for those holding more than one account.0

Are you taking about the app or their online account access?Over62 said:I opened a new Reward account and am waiting for the physical card to arrive. Either way, your point is well made, the screens are poorly designed in this matter. You can provide them with feedback about the app (if that's what you are describing) via the app - hit Search and then search for 'feedback'.
Haven't checked but there's probably similar online.0
